So it's confirmed???

What a mess. Sack the board.

FMD. Can I still get a wsw membership?

I'm just glad I did.
I can now get a proper footy fix.
Can't wait to see Parra stadium full every second week over the summer.

Last season I was torn between following Sydney FC and the Wanderers, supporting both teams all year and on the fence when they played each other.

But Western Sydney are flying that f**king high I'll feel like a bandwagoner if I get on them now. I might be stuck with Sydney FC.

I'll see how I feel this season.

They're all bandwagoners/turncoats. Just get on board!

I've said it before. Even though I've been a Sydney FC fan (have a scarf) and went to some of their matches, I never really felt connected to them or did I feel they connected with me or represented me as a Sydney resident. I was a fan by default.
When the Wanderers came in I was pleased because I always want to follow my local team.
Not only did I have a westie team to support. the team (club) itself understood what its fans wanted. They have connected. Hence why nearly every Parra stadium game for the Wanderers will be sold out next season.
Unlike Eels games, where people only chant when a loudspeaker starts it up, the Wanderers fans rally behind their team in full support for the full 90 minutes, because we are all proud of our westies. I f**king love the passion. I just wish the Eels had it. I really do.

That's an interesting point

One of the most disappointing things I've ever seen as an eels fan was the minority storm crowd drown us out in the 09 grand final

It's always puzzled me. It was like all the supporters expected us to lose or choke or be robbed so it happened.

Compare what you felt then to this video. I suggest you watch the full 11 minutes. If not, at least the bits at 4.30 and around 7.30.
This was the game that sealed the premiership in Newcastle last season. The crowd was about 20 000, and there were 10 000 Wanderers fans there. Most of this footage is taken looking from the north hill looking towards the Andrew Johns stand. I was on the north hill behind this camera. Newcastle fans, and their kids were just looking on in awe. They f**king loved it.
It is part of the reason why Parra stadium will be full every game this season.
The beginning section (the march to the ground) was after more than 2000 fans had enjoyed a fan BBQ, arranged with a local football team and to use their ground and facilities. Hooligans.

lol. You know very well I bleed blue and gold. The Wanderers have given me something to do over the summer, such is my love of traditional winter sports, and my passion for good atmosphere.
They provide it. They are also helping to get our crap, dark ages stadium upgraded. I'm also happy that the Eels can benefit from that as well, as previous administration's allowed the joint to be destroyed.

maybe during winter when parra are playing shit, we could all come to your house each night - jump on your lounge - yell and scream alot - maybe let off the odd firework :thumn
