I dunno, have they (or their friends or relatives) got their jobs back after 3P sacked them? Plenty of people hated Spags and co. That's how I know they were doing the right thing by the club.

Too many useless sacked employees were members of the club, or had family and friends who were.

You never had an opinion or interest in club politics when 3p were in power, since they got punted, and rightly so, you havent stopped raving on about them. What gives?

Devil's advocate mate. Nobody is ever as bad (or as good) as a rabid mob of footy fans say they are.

Everyone who voted for 3p/Spagnolo in any election can thank themselves for the mess the club is in.
Was it 3p who hired that f**kstick Hagan without consulting any of the board???? Yes hiring SK was a mistake but it was Hagan that destroyed the strong foundations built by Smithy.

I don't like any of them, i'm not aligned to any of them, all ex footballing morons who the even stupider voting populace vote for - nice straw man argument though, must be easier for a simpleton to think that when anyone is being critical of your beloved 3p that they are from "the other side".
Pull the other one, just about all your posts are whinging about 3p, I think they did a good job in regards to the leagues club but they let themselves down badly in regards to football matters. Not hiring a competent CEO and football manager for starters. And choice of coach, and the new blokes also are having Trouble hiring a competent CEO and football manger.

Honestly is it so hard???

No that can't be right, 3p are the cause of every bad thing that has happened to the club in the last 20 years..........

You can blame MH for our current woes till the cows come home.

Our current mess Is directly linked to 3p/SK. MH left in 08, 2 spoons and many years later, we are still blaming him. Really??? Just for peace of mind, how long is mh going to be held accountable??? 2015???2018??? 2020???

You come across as a sensible bloke, don't listen to the rubbish that gets posted here by the 3p puppets. Take your blinkers off, and make you're own judgement.

Agreed. There's only so long you can blame Hagan and we've had 3 coaches and 5 years since then so it's time to move on.

I can't see how anyone can defend 3P on anything other than the Leagues Club. We got considerable worse year after year under their management and they hired plonkers like Osborne and Kearney who practically destroyed the club. We should never be in the position we are now where we've got back to back spoons and still look a couple of years from being final contenders again. 3P are the ones that have to take responsibility for all that instead of passing the buck and having others make excuses for them.

Mate 3p made mistakes I am not saying they didn't. I just believe Hagan was where this club started to go wrong. DA made mistakes and so did Kearney. It just makes me laugh that 3p are the cause of all of the clubs woes. Of course it has nothing to do with that merkin Fitzy who did every thing he could to hurt 3p and ultimately the club.

Why doesn't he just f**k off??? He had 30 years, now Spags is doing the same thing, you lost do the right thing and let the guys who were elected gave a chance. I am just so sick of us being a laughing stock thanks to both mobs.

Hayne urges Ricky to stick with Eels

Parramatta superstar Jarryd Hayne hopes coach Ricky Stuart will stay put amid growing speculation he is the preferred candidate to take over at Canberra. Raiders directors will meet on Sunday to discuss replacements for sacked coach David Furner, and Stuart is on their wish list. The former NSW mentor is contracted to the Eels for a further two seasons but it hasn't stopped Canberra powerbrokers from attempting to lure him back to the club where he made his name as a premiership-winning halfback.
Hayne, who was handed the co-captaincy by Stuart this year, hopes to continue to play under the premiership-winning coach.

''Of course. We've had a couple of coaches but we don't control what Sticky does, we can only control what we do. Whatever happens happens,'' Hayne said.

''He's been great. I've learnt a lot off him, just little things I've picked up in terms of my attitude and my game, that I have to give him credit for. It's obviously Ricky's decision and we're going to support him as a mate whatever he does. We obviously want him to stay.''

The Eels fullback said Stuart hadn't given him any indication of his intentions. ''It's all speculation, all media at the moment,'' he said. ''For us we don't really like talking about something we don't have control over.''

Stuart deflected questions about his future after Monday night's win over St George Illawarra for fear of overshadowing a rare win and remained tight-lipped at Saturday's fan day at Parramatta Stadium. However, he was more expansive about the task required to build the blue and golds into a premiership contender. ''It's what I expected,'' Stuart said.
''I would have liked to have won a few more games but I'm not unrealistic in regards to the job that had to be done. I knew there was going to be difficult periods but credit to the players for their team spirit and camaraderie.''

The Eels will finish with the wooden spoon for the second consecutive year but Stuart said the opportunity to blood several promising juniors would hold the club in good stead for the future. Two more will make their NRL debut against Newcastle at Hunter Stadium, back-rowers Ken Edwards and Joseph Ualesi. The pair will come into a reshuffled side after centres Ryan Morgan and Ben Roberts were ruled out with injury. ''There have been times when I haven't wanted to throw junior players in such as Joey Ualesi because it wasn't his issue to deal with some of the poor scorelines and weeks we haven't performed well, it's not his job to save us,'' Stuart said.

''But this week will be a good way for Joey Ualesi and Kenny Edwards to finish the season, with a first-grade game under their belt. ''With the players we've got with first-grade experience now, that's always a big bonus moving forward. You give them a taste of it and then it's up to them in terms of their choices and decisions, how you prepare. They can train as NRL players, I've got a lot of time for them in regards to that. Kelepi Tanginoa is an example of one who got into first grade early in the season and has played some great football, he's got a lot of first grade in him. He's a player for the future.''

So much for the bullshit about him telling the players that he is staying.
