Jason Taylor has taken two sides (eels/Souths) from pretty poor positions to a semi final berth.

He has history in working with juniors to get them into the nrl - he worked under smith at the eels when our junior system was pretty good, he started the generation change at Souths by promoting juniors , coaching at the roosters (including being in charge of the u20) who have just rebuilt their side with a lot of juniors.

He has history with our two biggest stars, sandow/Hayne - he gave both of them their debuts.

I don't want anyone that has previously been involved with the club. I'd like Henry I reckon he would be a good coach for us. Also the cowboys players respect him a lot and I reckon some could look to get out if henry gets another NRL gig

No not necessarily - Robinson was assistant to smith during the roosters great run in 2010. It was reported in some papers the players gave Robinsin a lot of credit for 2010. Then he had to go to the super league to further career as it didnt look like smith was going any where - so Robinson was far from an outsider. In fact he was a roosters assistant coach before Taylor.

Taylor has had to just keep his head down and work hard to fix his reputation which was unfairly tarnished from that mad Monday incident.

Not after this year and more so if the roosters remain seriously contenders for the next few years. He is already being given credit by Robinson for there good form. It will only be a matter of time before he is mentioned as a coaching option whenever there is a vacancy for a head coach

They don't have to be a nice bloke but they do have to be respected.

I'm not saying the players wouldn't do what Taylor told them to do but their morale and confidence might drop, if they didn't believe in the coach. It would also hurt recruitment and retention.
