He took the hard option in going LOL, Fordham said about 100 times i have known him all his life and he is a great tough man. We have dodged a bullet with him leaving, i didn't think it was possible but i have a lower opinion of him now than i did last night.

I'm sure I read an article where Ricky said he was staying in Sydney because of the facilities available for his kid. This is an appalling cowardly dog act by Stuart. I am absolutely furious at the lies dished out to the supporters. I'm hoping that JT gets the job over Henry. It will only be seven years over due.

Two points that are spot on the mark.

1. He said originally he was staying in sydney for the needs of his daughter. Marta Dai (sic) school I believe it was. Now he is using the same daughters needs to justify mooving. I am not angry about him going. What I am angry about is that he lies about the reasons.
Just come out and tell the truth. You left because of more money, and you also didnt think you had it in you to get the job done. Be honest and we will all understand.

2. JT should have been the the next to coach after smith. Everything seemed to come undone after we appointed hagan. Fix the mess and finally give him the job that he should have had all those years ago.

Canberra are happily playing it out in the media that when they sack players like Carney, Ferguson and Dugan that the NRL should stand them down as they haven't honoured contracts, yet have obviously encouraged Stuart to break his own contract.


Surely the Eels should be financially compensated.

I'm just telling the truth - lose 12, pick up 4 and add 8 youngins to the mix - doesn't look good. Plus add a new coach, shit imagine the pressure on him and the players.

It's a wasted year now that Stuart's leaving. Now if we have another shit year next year we can't really fault whoever the new coach is that much, and we'll just here all kinds of excuses again.

Ideally, but by whom? If it's perfectly acceptable (contract wise) to resign from his position and take up an opportunity at a rival club, I don't see how we can demand compensation. I'm curious as to what kind of clause was in Stuart's contract allowing him to just walk up and leave but that's something we'll never know.
