I thought Manly would win comfortably but the Roosters were very impressive against the knights they looked super. I'm not too confident anymore but still think Manly will come on top just. Manly by 4

A Grand Final where 99% of the hate is coming from the neutrals. Manly and Roosters don't hate each-other. One of the few clubs we don't have a real rivalry with really.

Will still be a cracker of a game.

It is tight.
Roosters to win - Manly to finally succumb to having played an extra game.

Be interesting if either side gets out to a substantial lead at any point though................. could break it wide open

Although a cake walk into the GF can leave a team under done on the big day.
I credit the 13-12 win over Wests in 2010 for getting Saints ready for the big day, whereas the Roosters waltzed past a hapless Titans side.

Hard to say out of the peliminary final's went though who actually had a hard game though, Newcastle had early resistance but apart from some consolation 4 pointers at the end were never in it, Souths were in it up to their eye balls and the choked with the final score flattering them.

So you're saying it could be close, but then again it might be a cakewalk. Good prediction. All bases covered.

Big difference between this game and the 4-0 game is JWH missed that game. They are a completely different side with him. Also Moa missed a big chunk of that game. Without those two they struggled to get any go forward. With JWH back and Cordner they are very hard to beat.

A bloke missing from Manly that night by the name of Brett Stewart had no effect on that game??

Going to be a cracker of a match.

On paper, this is one of the closest Grand Finals in the last decade.
No standout favourite.

Could me one of the great GFs.

Feel sorry for those merkin league "fans" on here that will not be watching it.
LOL

The biggest difference between week 1 and the GF is not going to be the additions of JWH, Cordner (maybe), and Brett Stewart.

It will be an even penalty count.

In week 1 Manly won the count 12-5. There is simply no chance of that happening on sunday, so Manly are going to have to lift without a free ride into the attacking zone all game.

Going to be an absolute belter. I'm confident that we will win, although I am well aware that this confidence is rooted firmly in my bias. Whoever does lift the trophy is going to have bloody well earned it

Wasn't there once a thread that pointed out that teams failing to beat a club during the regular season don't go on to win a premiership? We've beaten Manly three times so I'll go with us by 8 in an enthralling game.

On the flipside you could say these two prelims more resembled that of 2000 where the roosters won by 6 after trailing by 14 and Brisbane smashed it home and then won the premiership.

At the end of the day it will be about who lifts for the occasion.

The last three times a Club won three games over another club in that season, lost the GF.
