Yeh Norman is exciting too. I think this is one of the most positive recruitment drives since. Morro, piggy, Tahu etc

Obviously a big difference in experience but the fact we have recruited young up and coming players is exciting.

I can see peats being a signing like Brad Drew. I hope Norman partners Kelly in the halves towards the back end because I feel Sandow and Corey will be a bit disjointed like Roberts and Sandow. Norman will add a better organising game and his running game will help alot too. In 2012 we saw his potential at 6 and last year we saw it at fullback. So in Norman we have a handy signing should Hayne be our 6

I live in Brisbane too and have seen Norman come through grade... When he's playing 6 and isn't the sole focus of creating an attack (like he was with Wallace as 7 and Hoffman as 6) he was going great guns and at 2 points was called a bolter for origin

His game will compliment our side very well

Does anyone give any hope to Norman 7 and Hayne 6 (hoppa 1). It is an expensive 14 in sandow but I see him at least being as potent as Milford was earlier this year coming in just before half time.

The beauty about us in '14, is we do have options. We have a fair few good quality players that can play several positions in the back line. if our forwards can hold there own, I dare say we'll rattle a few good teams.

It's possible, and would allow Tonga and Morgan to play in the centres (neither is a winger IMO). Plus would get the most out of Hopoate.

But it leaves a big list of halves out of the top 17: Sandow, Kelly, Foran and Evans. At least two of those are top 25 as well. Although I suspect one of Sandow or Kelly will be gone by round 1.

I agree Sandow could be outstanding off the bench. Similar to how Barba was used for most of 2010.

Certainly possible. Would be a very young back row (aged 20, 21, 22).

And I'm really looking forward to Norman too. He could be that 'organiser' (i.e. player what passes the ball from first receiver) that merkins think we need.

Also looking forward to seeing how different our go forward looks with Peats driving the bus.

You mean, a really good five-eight? I reckon he will be. I think he's being underestimated by many forumites.

Really?
Norman.
Living in Brisbane and watching a fair few Broncos I thought he was disappointing. Maybe that was because he played out of position, but he doesn't scream 'oh f*ck yeah! We just signed *insert awesome signing*' sort of player.

Oh, f**k, yeah - we just signed Corey Norman!

If we use Sandow off the bench, we'll need another goal-kicker.

We'll find one. How hard can it be?

Justin Hunt kicks goals for North Sydney, and Liam Foran's Wikipedia page has a photo of him kicking for the Auckland Vulcans.

There has to be a joke about reserve grade in there somewhere.

Poo, I'm beginning to think that you might be a "prepper".
Hollywood Jesus is one - are you his brother or boyfriend/girlfriend?
