Fish is a far better winger than fullback, he's too often nowhere near where he should be at fullback. He doesn't show the desperation on defense that a fullback needs to in the NRL, and he's just lazy just like his father and uncle were.

Tomkins shows the attributes you want so fullback for Fish would be just an emergency in which case he'll learn a lot more from the Pom than he would from watching Locke.

Locke is one of the best defensive fullbacks in the competition, and what Fish lacks at fullback cant be taught, it's either in a player or it's not. Fish just doesn't have the desperation to get where he needs to be on defense.

Matt King, Dylan Farrell, Andrew Everingham, Justin Hunt, Shaune Corrigan (Reserves), Mitch Buckett (Reserves), Greg Waddell (Reserves) all gone. Even Tyrone Phillips a Centre from this years Under 20s squad has signed with Bulldogs so that leaves Aaron Gray as the only other young up-and-comer Souths currently have. They need to sign at least 2 more backups. They should be going hard for Ferguson.
