Can someone explain Minecraft to me?

Do you want me to get my 8 yo daughter? She is massively addicted.
From what I can gather, you just make up 'worlds' castles, homes and games and join clans or start your own.
I feign interest when required.

I played some of the old original SimCity the other day. Was super fun for like an hour, then its general lameness made me rage so I got rid of it.

Think block graphics mixed with highly customary construction/creation/building games.

Pro Minecraft designers love building famous landmarks and buildings in it, real or imaginary.

Never got into it myself but some awesome designs out there.

lol when was the last time Hewitt beat Federer?

Had to look it up, Hewitt had a 7/9 record over him from 1999 - 2003, but a 2/16 record since then. 2010 & 2014 the two recent ones.

Never in a Grand Slam.

2000 was great. 3000 also.

I still crack out Civ 2 on occasion. It never gets old.

More like infinite Lego. With Zombies.

Sounds, err, like a bit of a waste of time...

Still, people probably thought the same when I was playing Sim Farm

SimCity 2000 was the bees knees. I can also echo Drew's Civ 2 love. I've enjoyed Civ V a lot, but Civ 2 was the benchmark for me.

Civ 2 on ps1. Me and my brother played a campaign that lasted around 300 hours. We were 11 and 9. Pretty much every spare hour was spent in that game.

Only ever been to 2 games of cricket. Test match at the WACA when I was 2 or 3. And Big Bash final when it was still between the states at ANZ. NSW beat Victoria in the last over.
I was at that match. It was a bloody crazy game. 1 run needed off the last ball and they get it off a leg bye. I think either Quiney or Blizzard made a 90 that day.

I didn't realize it made it to console. I'll never quite get how games like that (or games like Diablo) work on console.

Going through my youtube favourites and found orchestral versions of the GoT theme song. Now I desperately want Season 4.
