Plunger? May as well drink instant. I had a proper machine for over 7 years. Got sick of the coffee grounds everywhere. Recently purchased a Delonghi Nespresso. The Roma blend for mine is as good as anything I have tasted domestically.

That George Clooney knows his shit.

Mate, I own a semi-commercial Italian espresso machine....haven't touched instant coffee since the late 80s (and don't personally rate the pod machines too much higher). Freshly roasted, freshly ground coffee can taste great in a number of brewing devices. Give me fresh coffee in a plunger any day before stale coffee in a pod.;-)

Instant coffee is great.

Take some nice sharp cheddar cheese, drizzle over a little bit of honey and then crumble a small punt of instant coffee over the top.

Me too. I haven't tried many types but the 2 I have currently are Ristretto and Apreggio.
Both I would recommend. I will have to give Roma a try.

I was using fake pods from the supermarket but they wrecked my machine. Luckily Delongi fixed it for me, even gave me a loan machine during repairs. I will be sticking to the genuine nespresso pods now.

Don't mind those either. That new release Dhakar or similar is shit. I did the Piazza D'or pods too. There was a red one that wasn't bad. However you're right they don't fit in the machine properly.

Yes Piazza D'or, they're the little bastards that f**ked my machine.

I'll surprise you even more.....I buy green beans and roast them at home.....

I do have quite a few Mediterranean_Descendant mates, though not all of them are that fussy about their coffee. I think a late night brew at Cafe Hernandez (Bayswater Rd?) started it all for me.

Not anytime soon mate..... Too expensive to live in Sydney. 2 acre block is about an eighth of the price out here.

A mate of mine bought a house on a 5 acre block at Kenthurst a couple of years ago for a reasonable price.
I wouldn't really call it Sydney but it's not that far out in the sticks.

Some major butthurt earlier in this thread. If someone's that sensitive about anonymous people's reactions to things they write on the internet, perhaps they shouldn't be writing?
