    Andrew Webster

For some reason I landed on the opening post. You might need to put in brackets at the bottom that the thread was originally titled 'FO Webster'. As it is the edited title doesn't fit with the first post!

Whadda yez wear to Warriors games?

Like a Warriors nutter with no life I'm already thinking about what I'm wearing to my first game in two years. The options are: 1. A cheap, but official, 2004 supporters jersey. My original Warriors get-up. 2. A genuine 2005 replica jersey. 3. A nice Warriors hoodie, with retro '95 vibes. 4...

Roosters 20, Manly 4. A dud result for the Bookvale faithful but they're still on the cusp of the eight, Chooks are tenth.

The players are off for thirty minutes at Homebush. Wallabies v Lions. Lightening strikes. This is new!

'Lodge in trouble in back play'. Beave, your weekend might get even better. ...he stays on. This one feels like a final. Great intensity, great crowd involvement. Awful weather!

Good one re Kurt. However, I wouldn't think so, as he came from NZ union, and they stopped 'torpedoeing' in the 1970s. Welshman, Phil 'Twinkle Toes' Bennett, showed us the 'round the corner' style on the '77 Lions tour, with the ball sitting upright.

We'll go into round 23 in fourth place but absolutely no-one - here, there, or anywhere - talks about us as premiership winners. It's weird, as Canberra, Canterbury, Melbourne, Penrith, and Brisbane don't suffer the same. We're currently about $31 at the TAB.

If we score four, Boyd might add an extra eight points. I feel more confident scoring four tries with guys like TT there. Plus, Roger is running red-hot, which makes an accurate kicker even more important. But Meth, you've dropped him.

An interesting question on ABC Radio: who was the last toe-poker goal-kicker in first grade? Mal Meninga stands out, Mark 'Piggy' Riddell had the ball pointed that way but kicked around the corner. The 'Big O' Filipaina was another. I heard the answer. Remember, toe-poking went out of vogue in...

That's why we don't want a repeat of 2023, where we go to Brisbane to play them in a final. The Panthers? Blast! How good would a Titans upset have been?! So close though, 30-26, Penrith. Final. Penrith finding that way to win at the death again. They're dangerous and look like premiership...

I've just checked my work roster and I'm at my first Warriors game since the halcyon days of 2023! Ironically, it's the same opposition and venue. Who else is going?

    Vs Dolphins Rd 22

But we back ourselves to gather the re-start, complete a defensive set coming out of our half, get a big Boyd punt on the sixth, and pin the Dolphins in their twenty. We may've got a penalty as the Dolphins try to force an error. Two minutes chewed up, four points in front, Dolphins desperate...

    The run to the finals

Yes, like in 2023. The problem there though is you can get well beaten - even walloped - by the first-placed side, then return home and wallop a lower side (in front of your rapturous fans) but then you've lost confidence in winning against a fellow top-four side, and get walloped.

60-14, Broncos over Rabbitohs. A crisis at Redfern, the 'rockstars' ramping it up at Red Hill. I believe Townsend's retirement in a few weeks (sorry, Roosters!) will mean the 2016-winning Cronulla side are all gone. End of an era for Sharks fans.

I can hear Gus Gould, 'they're so bunched up you could throw a blanket over them'.
