RLWC 2026 Draw, Venue & Crowds

Not seeing any answers to how the Semi Final fixtures are going to work, as in who plays where?

RLWC 2026 Draw, Venue & Crowds

That Friday 16 October game, with Samoa and France as before 6pm will be a nightmare for people to get to. Will be hoping many stay around to see the Australian women put a cricket score on Samoan women.

RLWC 2026 Draw, Venue & Crowds

Okay, where do we start: Maybe crowd and vibe reaction. Shout out to undertake for posting the fixture list! 15/10 Australia vs New Zealand (Allianz Stadium) 45,000. Will be rad and should sell out. 16/10 Samoa vs France (CommBank Stadium) 20,000+ and France will get destroyed. 17/10 PNG vs...

RLWC 2026 Draw, Venue & Crowds

Hmm. Bit of an omen the intended announcement schedule being thrown out.

RLWC 2026 Details soon per official account

"Newcastle looks set to play a role in next year's Rugby League World Cup, as tournament organisers prepare to announce host venues next week. The 2026 edition of the World Cup, which includes men's, women's and wheelchair tournaments, is being held in Australia and Papua New Guinea next...

    2025 Crowd Watch

Some absolute garbage in this thread. Everyone should be able to go to the footy, much more important than the speed of a game selling out; or how many attend.

    2025 Crowd Watch

Well, I guess we can start our final Crowd Watch for 2025 - the Pacific Championship Final! Looks like they have maybe put all seats on sale and unsurprisingly, should sell out easy.

What was the capacity of Eden Park anyway? 44,000?

    2025 Crowd Watch

Think it'll be 31,000 today as my prediction

    2025 Crowd Watch

5 additional bays on the left hand side of Level 4 South have been put up. Mixture of $20 and $30.

    2025 Crowd Watch

There are many cheap tickets already available. Devaluing the cost to an international test match doesn’t serve anyone here in the long run.

    2025 Crowd Watch

I think those middle Bays for Level 5 North are just going to be empty right. Seems unlikely there would that many corporates? (there are so many with that lower level of the Western stand, and however the rest of Level 4 South is working).

    2025 Crowd Watch

Well, at least the bottom one is Level 4 South - which hadn't been put on sale - but now the 3 bays on the right have been listed as Bronze category. Eden Park, I'll say it again - is such an odd ground. We'll see large chunks tomorrow, likely Level 4 South where there will be no one - but...

RLWC 2026 Details soon per official account

Agree on Canberra, curious on Accor. I do worry there is too much reliance on the Pacifica fan base to turn out. Like, they will no doubt. But how many times can you draw from that well over the Pool games? Accor could work; but again you would need to be so aggressive with sales etc. Allianz...

RLWC 2026 Details soon per official account

Cairns and Darwin were embarrassing last time. As adam is saying, I’ve come around to this model. Best system to avoid absolute blowouts. Teams should play where they are best to draw a crowd. Ala, England should get the 1 Perth game. Lebanon should play at Parramatta. Any game with Tonga or...
