Good question but Nine have blown $ on union, World Cups, Olympics, and possibly EPL and F1. They expect to get the same package for $115 m pa. Not this time buddy.

However as with the EPL they are chasing, its only a certain time spot they can sell. I have heard, I like the EPL, but most games are on late Sunday night ( before Monday work day) especially the blockbusters. So it's limited, and people now can finds highlight packages elsewhere they can watch...

Nine got the rights cheaply before. In fact foxtel cheaper deal IS a furphy, as of right now Foxtel/Kayo have been paying over $255m pa and have been of a few years ( while a couple of years ago AFL got from Foxtel roughly the same) but back to this deal, as as said before negotiations that got...

Why not have two Free To Air FTA Ten/paramount Friday 6pm and 2Pm Sunday Nine 8pm Friday and 4pm Sunday. Find some arrangement for SOS and Grand Final, charge both $100m Plus then ask $350m for Fox/Kayo that's $550m to $600m, without trying too hard. Substitute Channel 7 for 10/paramount if 10...

    Perth Bears

Well what changed to make it more attractive AFTER 5 YEARS.. Well lots. WA Government came on board, market in Perth while small is much better than other 'rusted on states' but now with other synergies and backing by a 'old league Club' with substantial $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

    Perth Bears

By Rusted on states could mean SA TAS, which provide (sorry SA) no mutual benefits unlike WA! WA history had a team before so it's not in the definition of rusted on, especially with Union background, so Vlandy statement is consistent when open your blind eyes.
