    OK, but something similar. White jersey with a small green yoke or saddle, red trim-lines by the yoke/saddle & red and green panels under the arms. (Maybe red on one side, green on the other?)

    This game really emphasizes to me that Souths needs a PROPER & distinct away jersey. Can we maybe get this jersey re-colored so it's still mostly white, but the navy parts are red & green? That'll do the job.

    PRECISELY. At the moment, we have all our rugby league eggs in one basket (so to speak). If the Warriors are doing well then the game as a whole is on the upswing, but if they're not then it filters through to the whole game here. A 2nd NZ team spreads the risk - and hopefully most seasons...

    The more I think about joint ventures - and especially the NRL's track record with them - the more I think we should NEVER have another one. They've just been a recipe for disaster, if not mediocrity.

    A lot of ex-pat South Arficans have ended up on Auckland's north shore (basically suburbs north of the Harbour Bridge) too.

    I think one of the selling points of a 2nd NZ team is that we don't put all our eggs in one basket, so to speak. At the moment if the Warriors are struggling, the game as a whole takes a backwards step over here - but that risk is spread if we have two teams.

    You mean something like Christchurch's Apollo Projects Stadium (just in a better location than Bruce Stadium) as a stop-gap? I think the key in that plan is location - it would have to be in a better location than Bruce Stadium - or else crowds could fall as you're trading a remote aging...

    I don't see it as death-riding, rather it's lamenting the relatively slow expansion of our game. Relative to just about every other sport at their respective top-level.
