    But who's actually giving up a spot? The halves in NSW Cup have been unsettled for a while. It would probably be nice to have Falls and Galvin locked in for the rest of the season instead of what's been happening since the start of the season.

    Not overly impressed with Doueihi in the halves. He's only had one win without Brooksy holding his hand by playing direct to create time and space for him. Interested to see how Naden goes and whether he can turn back the clock.

    Whether it's Gould or the Slimes, it seems perfectly cromulent to make them wait. It would have to be a bucket of cash cos the Slimes don't have anyone worth a pinch of shit to get in return, other than maybe Jack Williams.

    Latu getting a full game at halfback, the return of Luke Laulilii and May getting another chance to measure himself about a top line prop like Haas are the three things I'm looking forward too.

    I reckon it's a cap management issue. We're on the hook for Olam for both this year and next unless the NRL grant the medical retirement. It's strange, but apparently we had to pay some freight to offload Klemmer, which means whatever we paid comes off our cap this year. We've still got Naden...

    It's concerning that young Luke has been unsighted this year. I hope he's ok and that the absence is just the club looking after him by not rushing him back.

    We're now waiting on the NRL's decision about a medical retirement for Olam. Hopefully they pull the finger out and we get a decision soon.

    Madge was right to persist with him at centre. To'a is far and away the best centre option we have on the books. The frustrating thing for me has been his injuries, but the more games he strings together the more likely it is that he'll get the stupid stuff out of his game. Then we'll start to...

    I'm not bothered. We have plenty of depth in the halves. Latu Fainu is still on the books at Doueihi can serve there in a pinch. Who wouldn't be? He's a talent Surprised the Roosters aren't looking at him as a replacement for Tedesco at the back.
