I don't understand why Livermore keeps saying the west is so important. 10 years ago his Bombers bid was identifying the northern suburbs as their catchment.

    I'll support the Firehawks.

    Easts Tigers Enter Expansion Race

Gold Coast Titans recruited players from the Broncos, Cowboys and numerous other clubs when they entered the competition. Broncos recruited their players from the 9 BRL clubs they put out of business.

"It’s very realistic to say that we’ll have a second team in Brisbane in 2023": V'landys

When the Cowboys, Broncos and Storm are going well, rugby league is going well. Add Adelaide and Perth and it will be even better.

Broncos, Storm and Cowboys are much bigger draws on a national scale.

Look at the geographical size and then compare it to the population. Macarthur is a region in the south-west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The region includes the local government areas of the City of Campbelltown, Camden Council and Wollondilly Shire. It covers an...

It's a massive double standard to deny Ipswich, Logan and Moreton Bay from fielding their own teams while having the Penrith Panthers, Parramatta Eels, Canterbury Bulldogs, St George Illawarra Dragons, Cronulla Sharks and Manly Sea Eagles running around. The fact the QRL has left Logan...

Didn't the WARL have 10k registered players in the mid-1990s? There would probably be 20k to 30k players based in WA if the ARL had have stuck with the Reds and invested in the local competitions.

The 2016 Census lists the population of Macarthur as 309k. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macarthur,_New_South_Wales Logan had 303k. https://quickstats.censusdata.abs.gov.au/census_services/getproduct/census/2016/quickstat/LGA34590?opendocument

Logan is growing and is bigger than Macarthur. Moreton Bay Region is growing and I way bigger than Macarthur. Perth has 2m people. Why should a region of Sydney that has 310k people have its own team when Logan has 326k people but no one talks about putting a side in it? Logan produces more...

You've got to love the double standards of the QRL and RL administration from Ipswich. The Lions @ Springwood Social Club was created around a decade ago and invests some of the money they make from pokies in the Springwood Pumas AwFuL club. You never see these selfish pricks mention this...

Weren't all or most of the VFL clubs from inner-city suburbs? NSL fans didn't have a problem adopting Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers. Up to 35k BRL fans adopted the Broncos in the early 1990s. Titans have more fans than Chargers, Seagulls and Giants. I don't see any reason why fans of...

NRL's growth mindset points to 18th team. And it ain't Perth.

If we want to attract sponsors from the big end of town, especially foreign companies, we will need to have a presence in all 5 metro markets. It's of no coincidence that the smaller Sydney teams struggle to attract big name sponsors, whereas Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and even North...

NRL's growth mindset points to 18th team. And it ain't Perth.

We probably need another four or six teams to adequately cover every major market across Australia and New Zealand, but we lack the resources needed to support a 20 or 22 team competition. There will be no rationalisation of Sydney, which means expansion markets like Adelaide and Perth will...

What would happen if the Tigers and Bulldogs were replaced with a well run and successful club with a neutral brand that covers Canterbury in the inner-west to Macarthur in the south-west? Could it be successful like the Western Sydney Wanderers?
