    Back to footy, I’d rather Hawkins be given the 6 next year if we don’t get a quality replacement between now and then. Hawkins can organise a side in attack and his kicking gives us a genuine option, which allows Moses to run the ball more. He’s no worse in defence than Joash as well.

    $500k for Kautoga? FMD, he’s a fringe first grader. He’d genuinely be one of the worst edge forwards in the comp at the moment.

    It’ll be interesting to see how the Warriors go today. I heard the side’s pretty much made up of women’s all black players. I expect them to get towelled up against the roosters but will be interesting to compare skill levels.

    He was just as bad last year and was pretty ordinary the year before. He’s a massive problem and the fact he took up his option rather than us offering an extension, at age 22, in a position we’re light on, suggests the club feels the same.

He has never had a tackle efficiency less than 90% and his average running metres has only been below 100m in one season out of eight.     You don’t bring Juniors through with essentially a bunch of reserve graders. We’ve gained nothing from letting Gutho and RCG go, as well as dropping Matto and even Cartwright. Get some wins on the board and then bring in the odd junior. he has gone about this the complete wrong way.

    Let’s stocktake: Ryles punted RCG and Gutho (2 genuine first graders), re-signed Tualagi for a few years, brought in Kautoga and Iongi and dropped Matto and Cartwright. You live by the sword, you die but the sword.
