and a scary thought for Perth Bears - they have just hired him. Perth Bears has recruited Ezra Howe, the Gold Coast Titans’ experienced recruitment manager after 7yrs with Titans. :(

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

mmm, I know I haven't played or coached for a few years - but if my half was scoring 6 tries in 8 games and was ranked/sitting 4th out of 34 halfs in the comp, I'd be rapted. His attack playing must be pretty good, I'd have thought.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

With Harris Tevita - he is, as of yesterday 07.07.2025, sitting 4th - yep 4th for try assists - better than nearly $6mil worth of "other stars". and has scored 6 tries in 8 games. And - he is a fantastic defensive player (anywhere he plays) I really can't or don't see the problems others seem...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

I have a quick question - or 2: Are the N.S. Bears NSW Cup team moving to Perth? I ask, because most NRL sides that have "Cup" teams, train together and use the same training techniques so as the players will know the drills if called on to play NRL. And, if not, does that mean players that...

31.04.2025: No, New Zealand is not currently in a recession. The New Zealand economy has rebounded from a period of two consecutive quarters of contraction (which is the definition of a recession), with GDP growth of 0.7% in the fourth quarter of 2024. This rebound was stronger than expected.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

In answer to the above; ^^^^ - it's all a bit moot now though :( Lowe and Chambers (Orcas) said publicly - AFTER they had been rejected - that they put an updated proposal to the ARLC - that included: To pay ANY license fee the ARLC require - they were setting up x 25 regional sports academies...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

If "having their hands full with x 2 new clubs" is right ... then ... why did they say "we will have x 20 clubs for the next broadcasting deal ready to go 2027-2028" meaning PNG - PERTH - AND a third team. That was just 18mths ago.. ??

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

I'm not in the 4 walls of the Orcas bid - however - I know that the backers (those that were going to build their COE in Rolleston) are one of the biggest private land developers in the south Island - they are also the owners of the Hotel / bar / restaurant just down from the NEW Stadium and...
