There were about a dozen opportunities for legs tackles where the attacker wouldn’t have been able to get a pass...

    This is it : three of the five teams he played for made a grand final with him at 5/8 (he only played 4 games for Melbourne so he can be forgiven). 11 years first grade NRL - his team made finals in 7 of those years, played in 3 grand finals and won 2. Nothing to sneeze at.

    I heard a stat some years ago about Maloney - something like he’s pretty unique in that he never played in a team that didn’t make the finals.

    The great singers have unique timing. It’s actually more important than the voice itself. eg; Janice Joplin, Aretha Franklin and, yes, Joe Cocker - even Streisand, Ray himself, Sinatra, some would add Van Morrison, and I’ve got to add Paul Butterfield.

    I suspect Flano’s defensiveness re Kyle is a primary consideration in determining which players he ‘dislikes’. I don’t just mean possible better halfbacks. I suspect Flano has become a bit paranoid ie; his thought process is: if you’re not 100% on board then you’re 100% against me; no subtleties.

    Yes. It is a beautiful place. The video is a bit melodramatic. It’s perfectly safe. In fact there’s dozens of tours that go there every day.
