    Unfortunately it has a feel to it that the NRL will be screwed out of TV revenue again. Assume 9 will bid for AFL on the basis of reach to cover bases, leading the NRL to negotiate with itself again...sigh.

    It would actually be best right now if RA kept McClennan, from an NRL perspective. Worst state the game has ever been in, with provinces in open disagreement with each other. No coach. The NRL has them where they want them. Now go and do it to New Zealand with another NRL franchise there and...

    Yeah follows on from Phil Waugh yesterday, stating no more poaching cause can't afford it. Fitz towing the party line trying to help. No uniformity on centralisation. No more money from rich types (for now). No likelihood of success.

    seems crazy both codes have dropped back so much at finals time. i guess both finals have got a good sprinkling of teams across the spectrum that might otherwise not have strong followings.
