    I think Garner off the bench was also a workload management decision. Sorensen has missed a lot of football recently whereas Garner has played the majority of the season.

    Agree. Fish helped us dominate in the middle in defence in a way that is probably irreplaceable. I can remember only one or two games in the last 5 years (including the Manly we lost last season before Fish announced he was returning to NZ) where Fish didn't come to dominate the opposition...

    Interesting to read that Leota won't be playing in the Pacific Championship due to a shoulder injury. Can't help but think he has been carrying one for a while (like Martin) which explains why he was down on form. His initial stint in the GF was also fair less than his usual 20 - 22 minutes.

    Type 2 ACLs are a 2-4 week thing. Rarely longer. Type 3 could definitely be months if so. But I think unlikely his shoulder could be that badly damaged - would be surprising.

    Our starting props are so much better than the Storms it isn’t funny, but our bench forwards are a big step down. I could see Ivan moving Huth to start and putting Moses on the bench just to keep things a bit more balanced.
