    T20 Champions League Draw

One dayers are a different kettle of fish. He'll still get a game in the ODI's but really apart from the World Cup who gives a shit about ODI's any more? Just keep him the f**k away from the test side.

    T20 Champions League Draw

Sidds and Hilf after last summer deserve to be walk up starts, no issue with that. Shitzell though can't seriously be in contention. That's just crazy talk. I've said for three years he's not even the best left arm quick named Mitchell in the country, and with Starc's improvement I doubt...

    T20 Champions League Draw

and the boys destroyed the men. I've long said Starc was the least impressive of the young quicks, but he has really blossomed this last 6 months. Will be very interesting to see if his short form success translates at FC level. Haze though is still the guy I think will stand up and...

I've been a massive Henriques critic in the past, but I'll cross my fingers and say yes. He certainly has had bright patches before, but something about the sheer consistency of his performances so far this season says he's made a huge leap forward. (Cue injury that puts him out for 4 months...)

Actually I'm not even sure a full genius with double twist from WA will save SA from another spoon. They make ordinary look positively world beating.

WA will have to go full genius to deny them another spoon.

Phil Hughes - When do we drop him?

Had a slow end to the season that dragged his numbers down in FC, but add in his one day and T20 runs and it was a pretty fair winter. I think we all agree though that he needs to be left in the Shield for at least a year, maybe two, to confirm that he can deliver as often as a top class bat...

Phil Hughes - When do we drop him?

Class is permanent and Hughes has it. Put him in with a bunch of turkeys like SA and it shines through. No rush to get him back in the Test side though. He needs a big Shield season at least, maybe two. Just to get that muscle memory of big innings in all conditions right. Would love to see...

Good thing SA picked up Hughes or they'd be even more shit. Still SA v WA is shaping up as a real cripple fight.

and in another game not worth mentioning P Siddy is going nuts. Devil's number did him in though.

Good to see I had my thoughts reasonably aligned with Clarkey. 88 overs is just a tick under 4rpo but it does mean he has a short 2nd new ball spell at the death as an option if needed. Not much chance of Tassie chasing it down but still close enough to have a dash if they've got the bottle...
