Yep, fresh from the SG Ball. He is the third player to be elevated from our 18s after Tyrell Fuimaono and Tui Oloapu. Tui had a pretty rough debut against Canterbury but Alex and Tyrell look like they will be mainstays of the NYC squad for the remainder of the year.

Yeah I dunno mate. I'm keen to see who we re-sign and who gets arseholed. I don't think it's as simple as keeping all the best ones though. The salary cap means you need a few cheapies in the squad and cheap players tend to be shithouse.

As an example, Loko is a better player than Pewhairangi but he was also on a lot more money. So getting rid of the better player (Loko) was a great move whereas I reckon it would be awesome if we could retain Pewhairangi without having to pay him in the top 25.
