God damn I hate delayed games so so much.. Just start the damn match at 4pm or show the game live at 3pm...

Anyhoo.. 6 wins on the trot but the Warriors have found plenty of cohesion and are playing top footy. Definitely a danger game for us.

I know but it's not that big a deal. Sometimes games here start at 6:30pm on Sunday don't they? Just saying lol.

No chance of them doing that at Waikato though as they'd be expecting a fair few people to be driving down to Auckland or over from Rotorua/Tauranga for the game which are all close to 2 hours away. So they'll be wanting to keep to a fairly early kick-off to maximise crowd attendance.

I'm going to drive down from Auckland to cheer on the Warriors , I was at Waikato Stadium for the Warriors Wigan trial , the ground there is in amazing condition , the best playing surface in NZ ( and we know how to grow grass here ).

Comprehensive win by the Dogs over the dragons , this is shaping up as match of the round ( never mind what TV Networks say ).

There are plenty of Dogs fans in NZ , one of the biggest being co commentator Daryl Halligan ( chooks not very good but he does love his doggies ).....the other bloke who does the prematch with Halligan is a massive dogs fan too ( Stephen McIvor ).

Enjoy the game.

Just a bit of to and fro at work between a Warriors supporter and myself.

The better player in their chosen position.

Warriors – 12
Dogs – 5

Gubb is still young though is a great up and coming prop.
I don’t know who Mbye is?
FOB is guess?

Have left both out of the decision to be fair.

I don’t know who Mbye is? – Halfback for our NSW Cup side, can fill in the centres as well. Not ready for FG yet really.

Have left both out of the decision to be fair.

Hurrell over Morris? Your kidding right? Hurrell is great in attack, but as you will find out, he needs to learn how to not let tries in as well. Morris is a master of that.
Mateo over anybody? He has lost the plot. Finucane is a machine.
Kasino will take 4 to get down, and even then he still gets away an offload which creates overlaps. That will probably be where Lafai gets at least one of his tries from.
And both your second rowers over ours? Keep on dreaming, at best they would be bench players at the Dogs with very limited minutes.

And the one thing you have not looked at. Team stats. Great Team vs so-so players, lets what the great team has stats wise

Stat Bulldogs Warriors
All Runs 1638 1472 Bulldogs Win
All Run Metres 15359 13269 Bulldogs Win
Missed Tackles 199 254 Bulldogs Win
Line Breaks 35 46 Warriors Win
Points Conceded 112 201 Bulldogs Win
Points Scored 209 196 Bulldogs Win
Errors 81 99 Bulldogs Win
Penalty For 89 97 Bulldogs Win

I wouldn’t be surprised if we use Locke to carve your fatties up around the ruck. No I don’t believe your boys can keep up with the speed of our game play since we last played.

Hurrell is in great attacking form and will put at least 4 points up for the Warriors. Morris is a good defender but only in the air which isn’t where Hurrell will be coming from. Cant wait to watch Morris get brushed off or even better, run over top.

Mateo over anybody? He has lost the plot. Finucane is a machine.
I hate Mateo but he’s fighting for his position and career. Finucane has always been average, VERY average as a footballer. When did he ever do anything special on the field?

Kasino will take 4 to get down, and even then he still gets away an offload which creates overlaps. That will probably be where Lafai gets at least one of his tries from.

Bahahaha we may not have the biggest, but we have the most aggressive team in the comp. We’ll cut your boys in half. If Kasiano offloads more than once, we’ll have Johnson and Tomkins intercepting. They are specialist try scorers against fat boy offloaders like Big K.

And both your second rowers over ours? Keep on dreaming, at best they would be bench players at the Dogs with very limited minutes.

Matulino is the best 2nd rower in the comp at the moment. That’s it, I said it! Bukuya has been learning his trade and isn’t far behind. Both our 2nd rowers scored tries last week. Did yours?

Come on DOW, I don’t care about stats this year. The Warriors started playing when cappy took the helm of this ship!
How about you weigh up stats from the last 4 weeks?

Done as requested. Lucky you guys played the Raiders to make some closer than they should be.

Stat Bulldogs Warriors
All Runs 744 (186) 656(164) Bulldogs Win (That’s 4 extra sets of 6 a match!)
All Run Metres 6817 (1704) 6113 (1528) Bulldogs Win
Missed Tackles 107 (27) 107 (27) Draw – Lucky you had that Raiders match where you only had 12
Line Breaks 17 (4.25) 28 (7) Warriors Win
Points Conceded 52 (13) 63 (15.75) Bulldogs Win
Points Scored 90 (22.5) 100 (25) Warriors Win
Errors 32 (8) 37 (9.25) Bulldogs Win
Penalty For 21 (5.25) 19 (4.75) Bulldogs Win

Stats say Bulldogs win. You guys will just have to defend too much.

Hurrell will be too puffed out from defending so much. Josh will eat him alive, practice for when he shuts down Inglis again.

I hate Mateo but he’s fighting for his position and career. Finucane has always been average, VERY average as a footballer. When did he ever do anything special on the field?

That’s why Mateo isn’t being picked for rep teams, and Finucane is. Finucane is a tackling machine, and a very solid player. They can’t all be fancy pants.

Tompkins & Johnson attempting to defending against Kasino. Hoping for an intercept is probably the only chance they have. I probably should have had Kasino vs Manu for the try scoring bet.

Tony Williams scored one. Looked like a centres try and he had three on him. Yours were just open field untouched tries. Even the ball boy could have scored those.

Player Games Tackles Run Metres Tries
T-Rex 9 159 1011 3
J.Jackson 9 247 907 1
J.Bukuya 7 195 499 2 (Hahahaha, 1st year apprentice it seems)
B.Matulino 7 126 690 1 (Must be a 3rd year apprentice)

Hmm, seems overall the Bulldogs win tries by second rowers.

Adding Benchies
Player Games Tackles Run Metres Tries
F.Mateo 6 135 449 1
S. Ikahihifo 5 111 273 0
S.Lousi 4 69 286 1
C.Grubb 2 13 93 0
D.Finucane 9 218 984 0
T.Browne 9 151 635 0
S.Kasiano 3 39 249 1
D.Klemmer 9 72 749 1

Stats speak for themselves. All power!

Still going via SMS now! Though I'm pretty sure the real winner of this argument won't be known till Sunday.

Youse are both wrong imo.

You got money on the draw?

And it's a fair enough call, plenty of grandstanding on both sides. You have to play the one eyed supporter in these types of arguments, and we do have money riding on the game.

Really it's just us piss farting around at work making the game a little more fun. The Dragons fans at work gave up after the first email. I have too many pics from the LoL@souffs threads for the bunnies supporters to keep up with. So this is a good one as no one is backing down. Plus I have money on the Dogs v Warriors for the grand final quinella.

Add 15points to Warriors at Mighty Chiefs ground!

Minus 30 because the Warriors haven't beaten the Bulldogs in NZ at any other ground.

Bulldogs 1/1 at Carlaw Park
Bulldogs 4(+ 1 draw) /5 at Westpac
Bulldogs 1/1 at Eden Park

Even at Mt Smart the Bulldogs have a winning record 8/15
