A boring Saturday resulted in me watching 5 minutes of the yawnion test.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before and hit on the head, but just say that Izzy Folau comes back to the light and re registers with an NRL club, will he be forced to swear allegiance to NSW? Just did a bit of homework and not sure how completely accurate this is, but according to the new criteria, he ticks the majority of NSW boxes.

Born in NSW
Majority of school years in NSW (Family moved to Qld in 2004- he was 14)
Majority of junior rugby league years in NSW (if he played for 5 years between U6 and U14s)
First Rep team was in Qld
First State rep was Qld

3/5 says NSW according to the new rules.

I know the Inglis fiasco won't be reversed, but seeing as Izzy would have to register with the NRL, will he have to abide by the rules (if I've got all the information right of course! Source- Wikipedia )

It puzzles me that some NSW fans would actually want a player who has played for the other side in their team. I wouldn't want a former blue anywhere near the maroon jersey.

But your happy for a former kiwi?

Gordon Tallis played nsw u/19s, I'm sure you were fine with him

Face it, you'll take whoever you can get if they can play

You've got them with that one lol..... They're gob smacked!!

If a player has stayed in a QLD hotel whilst on holiday for 2 night it seems they qualify to play for them :D

Greetings from Bowraville.

I must have missed the State of Origin games Inglis and Tallis played for NSW. Can you link the youtube videos?

Also, care to elaborate on how NZ is "the other side" in State of Origin?

If you want to go down that road - Aussie Jim Tamou says "Kiaora broo"

Yes James McManus, Akila Uate and James Tamou wholeheartedly agree.

Those junior games you referred to aren't/weren't played under Origin eligibility and are as relevant as saying Trent Hodginkson played for QLD Residents.
