Based on Bureto dropping off the team sheet I am now 100% confident he will be on Shark Park at 3pm.

Egads, new thread!

Daniel Alvaro brings the ball out of the in goals for the first hit up of the day. Wenty shift the ball down their left edge first before swinging it back to the centre of the field.

Kelly gets the ball on the fourth tackle and rifles a pin point kick down field that ends in a 40/20!

Alvaro takes the first hit up once again. Wenty come down the left via Matterson who links up with Hunt who in turn fires a long ball out to Walker who crosses in the corner!

Alvaro at the fore once again and he picks up a penalty as he is taken high.

Wenty find touch on half way and Lorenzo Ma'afu gets his first touch from the tap restart. Wenty continue to work the right edge as they build for a left edge shift. It comes but Matterson takes the tackle.

The Magpies opt to run the ball on the last and keep the ball alive for some time but eventually the Roos wrap up the pill for a turnover.

Wyong come up with an error during their set.

Wenty scrum 10m into Wyong's half.

Plays focuses down the left and Wenty eventually come up with a somewhat fortunate four pointer as Matterson's pass hits the ground but bounces up perfectly for Walker who crosses for his second meat pie.

The kick off is well taken by Foran who then shovels the ball off to the tireless Alvaro.

Maliota and Foran take the next runs before Matterson pokes his head through half a gap down the left.


Kelly hoists it high and the Roos struggle to put a lid on the ball as it comes down but the referee blows a penalty to Wyong as he signals that a chaser impeded the catcher.

Good set of defence for Wenty which concludes in Hunt safely defusing the Wyong bomb.

A nimble run by Pewhairangi pinches a few metres before he earns a penalty for having the ball reefed out.

Alvaro involved yet again as he beats the first tackler but can't break the line.

Wenty switch play to their right edge where Hunt looks to have created a try for Saia Tanginoa but between Tanginoa's hesitation and some desperate defence, he is forced into touch.

Wyong grab some decent metres coming out of their half with some good short passes around the ruck before they pick up a penalty for a high shot.

The Roos will get a full set in Wenty's half. The start on the left edge but slowly work towards their right edge. The Magpies defend well and as the Roos come back to the posts there is a sloppy forward pass.

Scrum to Wenty, 10m from their goal line.

Mataele and Alvaro take early runs before Kei gets Wenty close to halfway. Foran fires an astute kick down field and a good chase pins the Roos in their red zone.

Wyong fight their way out to their 40m line but a poor kick sees Wenty with the ball near their own 40m line.

Pewhairangi looks to put Walker into space down the left edge but the pass takes a Wyong hand and Wenty will pack in for a scrum.

50/50 call goes against Wenty as the ref rules that Matterson knocked an Alvaro offload on.

All of a sudden the Roos are on the attack as they burst through Wenty's left edge. The runner is pulled down but Wenty fail to contain Wyong a second time as they move the ball to the opposite edge and their #16 fends through Luke Kelly's attempted cover tackle.

Really poor stuff there.

Kelly gets play back underway with a kickoff.

The Roos make a bold move from the kick reception as they catch Saia Tanginoa out with a short side play and steal a good 30m.

Wyong rumble it up the middle to Wenty's red zone before rolling a ball in goals on the last. Hunt is able to shepherd it over the dead ball line.
