Will The Ref's Blow South Sydney To A Premiership?

Hayne has actually helped the Dogs out a lot in the last month. Should have penalised them more. They can only win by the game being very very slow. Otherwise they can't match Souths with a medium paced match. Everyone knows that even Dogs supporters admit this.

You're jealous because the Roosters are out.

Well done on your premiership last year you were the best team!

But you can't admit Souths have played the best footy this year. You seem to be bitter. Enjoy your off season!

We worked bloody hard to win it last year

you guys are being given a gift enjoy it

Funny how you only comment on that part of my post. Geez you're a poor sport and bitter!

Obviously can't handle the fact Souths are playing brilliant footy with high completion rates.

Souths haven't been gifted anything and have played better this year than last year. They have played this year with a better attitude than last year. The young guys coming in have made a big part of the difference.

You guys got so many favourable calls against Manly in the GF last year. But we're the better team in the end.

You mustn't be able to comprehend that Souths have worked their butts off to get this opportunity. It's very well deserved:D:D

Souffs are so dumb. There's no advantage in getting lots of piggy back penalties out of their own half. Everybody knows the way to go is to be the most penalised team in the comp like Easts are

If they were smart they would have lost the penalty count 10-5 last week, not won it 10-5 (as they do every second week and every time against us).

The 6-1 penalty count they received in the 2nd half almost cost them the game! Should have conceded more for sure.

When will these foolish teams catch on?

They certainly do Souths are getting served this gf on a platter

Take a look at Souths and Canterbury's penalty ratios for Shane Hayne and the ultra biased Gerard Sutton

All I see written here is "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"

I haven't seen a team since the great Broncos teams of the 90s that control the decision making and capitalise on the easy leg ups, like this $ouff$ side.

Give $ouff$ a sniff and they will change the momentum of a game better than anyone else. Maguire has them coached very well to dominate the ruck to the nth degree without letting the referee penalise them.

I do think the officials are getting dominance in a tackle confused with "slowing the play down" too much hence teams like $ouff$ get away with a lot more.

I think its due to Maguire coaching style and general refereeing incompetence as opposed to any premeditated plan to make life easier for $ouff$

Those two "piggyback" penalties that ire the Roosters fans weren't anything egregious imo. The first one was totally legit, Pearce kneed Walker in the back while he was trying to play the ball. The second one in the same set of 6 was a "strip" and yes that should not have been a penalty. But the JWH headbutt on Teo more than made up for it. Souths didn't score of that set anyway so you can't claim it really changed the game although it did swing the momentum. The Roosters got a penalty for offside a few minutes after even though it was touched in flight so they had the chance to get their momentum back. But the Bunnies pack was on top by that time.

The truth is the Roosters lack discipline. Even their coach admits this. When you can defend your line like they can you can afford to try your luck and that is what they do.

well one team has to be the one to get the most penalties for a season. Does anyone remember who it was when it wasn't Souths? It's just select the facts to fit the narrative around here..

You people are a joke. Those of you who think in a modern game that all the referee's are corrupt are kidding themselves. I am not saying that in any generation those in power (In this case we talk about Referee's) can't be corrupted but you guys have been going on since this forum started about it. You all legit think that the NRL has been systematically corrupted for years and years.. that's a laugh. Because with all the people involved over the years in Refereeing, NRL HQ and any other governing body not one person has ever come out with any legit claim.. What are they.. the Illuminati?

Does it ever occur to any of you who are not on the stupid mindless bandwagon of stupidity here at LU in regards to hating Souths ever think it might just be that certain teams are better trained over others? Or that certain teams don't care about giving away penalties as much as others
