they re still not the ones who employ him

perhaps if he'd said it about Cronulla then the club may have sacked him

They may not employ him directly but they administer the sport so they get the final say.

gallen's fine was done in consultation with the sharks club,..his direct employer, but given how much the sharks are being run by the nrl at the moment, i don't think keogh had much of a say

Will be interesting to see if Watmough stays at Manly for the final year of his mega-back-ended contract (2015), now the back room stuff is seeming more settled. We may miss out on him just when we need him (2015), but end up stuck with him when we don't (3rd year in 2018?).

Possible although the spokesman for the rich guy that now has 90% (forget his name) has said that all moves that were in process would continue and there was some comment about Watmough being too far down the track to reverse now... so we live and hope.
