This just proves the refs can never win....

Sends it up stairs- "it was so obvious, why didnt he just back himself and make a call"
Backs himself and makes a call: "OMG he should have sent it upstairs"

Nah, Farrells wasn that clear cut.

Of course it was a try. Farrell already bombed his try for the week earlier in the game, filling his quota for missed opportunities and allowing him to score next time round!

Hypocritical when the video ref wasn't used yet many needless penalties/stoppages are apparently required in most games

Sutton's view was obstructed by the Rooster leg so he could not have with all certainty seen a try or no try. He took a punt and fluffed it.

In extremely wet conditions such as last night the ball pulls up. Sutton should know that and he needs a week off to mull it over.

Situations like these are why there needs to be a captains challenge system

Long overdue.

The ball was on the ground & rolling (relatively) slowly towards the dead-ball line.

He put his hand on it.

Try.

Simple.

It looked like a try, however the dragons shouldn't have had the ball as it had gone dead from their kick that was called a goal line drop out
So true,a fact commonly overlooked from most dragon fans, karma I guess.
