Yep, this is going to be one of the more unusual deals.

We have plenty of forwards. I hope this isn't a sign that one of the others on an NRL salary is going to be moved on. As much as I like Super Morgs, we need at least 1 NRL level centre, and 2 if Hoppa is gone.

Potentially maybe the club thinking a second row may need to be used at centre?

Then again if he is second tier, can't the club sign as many players as they want with out it affecting the cap unless they play NRL? If so why not sign a few players

Hard to see that Tanginoa will be 2nd tier. We upgraded him, and I think 2016 is part of that contract. But then again, he might not be coming at all.

Yeh, one would assume that there must be a plan to play Edwards or someone at centre (or at least to try it out). Moeroa played centre in Union but his lateral movement doesn't seem to be good enough.

Amazing to think that despite sitting 10th going into the final round, we could slip to 15th if everything went against us next week.

What if Penrith win tomorrow night???? and then Canberra belt us??

If the Panthers win tomorrow night then we at risk IF:
Knights beat Panthers at Pepper
Tigers beat Dragons at ANZ
Titans beat Cowboys at 1300Smiles

AND
Raiders beat us by more than 22
AND
Warriors beat Bullscom or Bullscum beat Warriors by less than 18 (this decreases if the Raiders beat us by more)

To get the spoon - as a quick scan....

1. Eels on 22 points and Panthers and Knights are both on 20 points so Panthers need to beat Raiders tomorrow night in Canberra

2. Eels have to lose against Raiders next week by 47+ - can be less or more depend on other results

3. Titans have to beat the Cowboys next week in Townsville 47+ but this all depends on how big a score the Eels lose to the Raiders.

4. The Knights have to win by a reasonably big score against the Panthers @ Penrith next week
or (either or)
5. Panthers have to beat the Knights next week

6. West Tigers have to beat the Dragons next week @ ANZ Stadium

7. Raiders have to win one of the next two games against Penrith tomorrow night or the Eels @ Pirtek next week but not get beaten in a thrashing in either game.

8. Warriors have to beat the Dogs next week in Sydney

Can't see us getting the spoon.

Position - Team - Games played - Differential - Points

10. Eels 23 -121 22

11. Warriors 23 -139 22

12. Titans 23 -167 22

13. Raiders 22 -12 20

14. Wests Tigers -73 20

15. Panthers 22 -80 20

16. Knights 23 -136 20

Check points 4 and 5 above Casper - not an easy 2 to get.

And we play after all of the above games except Warriors and Dogs.

I think the likelihood of that Warriors team beating the Dogs are pretty slim.

If Panthers beat Raiders tomorrow night, it's feasible that 7 teams could finish equal 10th with the worst for and against deciding the Spoon.

This then needs
Knights to beat Panthers (on the form of the Knights the last 3 weeks, they're a big show to beat Penrith)
Titans to beat Cowboys (could be a dead game if both Roosters and Broncos win before that games is played. Would Cowboys consider resting JT?)
Tigers beat Dragons (on both teams current form, Tigers a big show).
Raiders to beat Parra (more than achievable)
