Whoever the next Kangaroos no.9 is, I'm sure we can all agree that if he doesn't at least put in an 8/10 performance on debut then he'll forever be referred to as an overrated plodder by the majority of fans on LU.

:lol: the poor merkin is on a hiding to nothing replacing Cameron Smith.
What ever people think of his as a person, he's an all timer.

IMO he's the greatest modern day hooker of all time, that from a guy who grew up idolising Steve Walters

The Fultons and the Zorbas know what they are doing.

Or so we are told.

Normally by Dean Ritchie.

James Roberts ----> Cowboys

Has been all over triple M news this morning. Believe what you will.

You heard it here first.... because I heard it on commercial radio and posted it here first.

Would love Roberts at the Knights with Gagai to fullback. Of course he's more likely to end up with the reigning premiers, who must have shitloads of cash lying about after winning their maiden premiership...

Cows are the first premiers I can think of since the Broncos of old that haven't lost a single player from their premiership squad for the following year.

Outs: Robert Lui (Salford), Viliame Kikau (Penrith Panthers), Cameron King (Parramatta Eels), Glenn Hall (retirement), Kelepi Tanginoa (Parramatta Eels), Scott Schulte (Parramatta Eels)

All basically reserve graders.

Granted, they haven't really picked up any quality players at this stage but the fact that they can win the comp one year, not lose an important player for the following year and still have money left over to have a crack at the likes of Roberts is really quite staggering in this modern era.

If you wanted to increase your chances of playing rep football and win premierships would you choose the Cowboys or the Knights? Sure the Knights might be able to offer you more money but if by playing at the Cowboys gets you into Origin you earn an extra $150k plus even more if you get into the Australian team.
