They might not get there in 2016, but it certainly won't be because of age.
yeah?

huh..I reckon they were lucky to get so close.
they won 50% of their last 8 games....mostly against team who were out of the running.
They have had the easiest ride of any team in terms of schedules.

Nah ...they are not much chance.

Yes we overachieved.

Still doesn't change the fact that the rest of the comp weren't good enough to make it.

The easiest ride includes playing each of the top 5 teams at least twice? And beating each of them at least once? Brisbane definitely overachieved, but getting to the GF had nothing to do with luck.

It had a lot to do with luck, any team that makes the GF needs a fair amount of luck, particularly with injuries.

Broncos deserved to be there though.

Will be up there again next year.

However, there is a number of very good reasons why the Broncos are the favorites for next years premiership and probably the one after that as well.

I'm not sure there is a market for the 2017 premiership as yet. It's hard enough to consider what might happen this year.

Brisbane are fav's because they have the most mug punters wanting to put money on them. An awful lot went right for them last year, they won quite a few games they might not have. And still they only came 2nd. All things being equal, the same might not happen this year.

And when was the last time the pre-season favourite won the comp?

the only thing that cost the broncos the match was ben hunt dropping his lollies.

that's all people will remember brisbane for in the 2015 grand final for years to come

what about the centre & winger who let in the last cowboys try to level the score?
if thurston converted that was game over then and there so they lost the game just as much as hunt did

Hasn't one of those players gone to the Roosters? SKD will now have a mate to help him f**k up in big games.

Brisbane won't make the GF this year. Most teams struggle to back up when losing a GF and Brisbane's effort was akin to Manly of 97, Dragons of 99, Parra in 2001 & Roosters in 03. Also backing up from playing a friendly in England because they are after extra cash won't help them. In saying that, they will still finish top 8, but won't go further than week 2 of the finals
