I don't care about the result, but the lack of skill, coordination, effort in defence and commitment makes you wonder what they have been doing for the past four months.
Umm probably not training for the nines. I'm not seeing a bad thing. Do you think the Broncos performance says anything about what they have been doing the last 4 months?
Without doubt the worst performing team out of the whole weekend - They earned a F-.
We were no worse than the Broncos.
The young kids looked good when they had the ball but were not used in game two or three.
Huh? Our game 1 side was our most experienced. Apart from Dufty, who played all 3, our under 20s played in games 2 and 3.
1. The club went through all the team announcement expose to show the fans the excitement this was supposed to bring.
Couldn't it also show that it is something a bit different? Time to try something new? Have a bit of fun?
2. The coach and other senior staff plus Marshall were all in attendance so that must indicate that the club expected something out of it other than come home unscathed.
Not really. It was held in NZ, so that would explain Marshall, and being an NRL event, Mary was likely expected to be there. Did Bennett or Griffin miss it to attend their team's trials?
2. The talisman Dugan is recovering from surgery, made captain and put at risk of injury so therefore the club must have had some vision about what it was supposed to achieve by playing.
We had to have a top 5 paid player there. Widdop misses the Charity Shield, so shouldn't we have him playing trials while we can? Benji is injured. Who else is in the top 5?
3. The new signings had a chance to show their stuff other than Mann and Mc Carthy the rest were pedestrian and actually outshone by our juniors and incumbents.
4. The hoo ha by many on this forum around Lafai and how he should get an automatic start bla bla how much game time did he get and what did he actually do answer not much and nothing.
Doesn't Lafai not getting much game time kinda contradict the first point?
