R95 very good post, this is the best we can field against Parra imo with us dropping Keary, Auva'a, Nielsen, Tyrrell and leaving Clark out:

1. GI
2. AJ
3. Gray
4. Goodwin
5. Oldfield
6. Cody
7. Reynolds
8. T. Burgess
9. Cook
10. Brown
11. Carter
12. Turner
13. S. Burgess

14. McInnes
15. Grevsmuhl
16. G. Burgess
17. Whitelaw

18. Gosiewski
19. Nielsen

Deck chairs on the Titanic. A coach losing it in front of his players, Robinson style on ANZAC day, is the wrong approach. Losing your cool in front of the team works if done once every 20 games. Eventually players no longer pay attention.......coach Madge should speak to Tom Raudonikis about his days at the Wests Magpies.

Certain people talk like Madge is a protected species for some reason, yet will give you a list of players as long as there arm who need to be dropped from the side.

if a first grade player isn't doing the basic things right, it isn't the coaches fault. if a player can't put their body on the line and tackle, then they shouldn't be in first grade.

IMO our style of play would still work if we had the right players.

That smash them style in the forwards and outside backs finishing it off doesn't work with players like Goodwin, Nielsen, Turner, Tyrell, McInnes, Clark and Auva'a (in the form he is in) plus Keary below his best

And if a coach can't motivate a team of players to tackle the opposition then what exactly are we paying him for?

if a player can't motivate himself to put his body on the line to make a tackle, then what are we paying the player for? a good coach is important, but any first grade player should be able to do the basics, otherwise they shouldn't be in first grade. the first 20 mins was disgraceful. some people will say it wasn't that bad because we only lost by 8, but if we played broncos or cowboys, we would have had at least 50 put on us

If we can get to the bottom of why seemingly good people have left Souths I think we will find the answer to the problem.

Correct and they shouldn't be on extremely high salaries.
