is there a quantifiable difference between a grade 2 and 3?

what criteria decides this or is it just up to how some merkin at the MRC feels that particular day?

For dropping Gallen on his head, Thaiday should get an award.
For the dirty filthy danger tackle on any other player he should get 3 weeks.

How many weeks for bird stamping on smiths hand?

Or Gallen continually driving his elbow and forearm into players heads while they were on the ground? So glad Gallen is going out a loser, hopefully he goes out never winning an NRL premiership as well.

On topic Thaiday should have got 4 weeks, wouldn't have considered it harsh if he got 6. 2 weeks is very soft.

NRL will be in Serious strife if another McKinnon outcome of one of those tackles happen. They have clearly not made any effort to eradicate them from the game and any player seriously injured would have a very strong case against them.

Thaiday should have been sent off and 6 weeks on sideline. Of all the sht in RL that tackle is by far the highest risk of serious injury and needs to be gone full stop.

Adam Reynolds has accused 'Third Man' of grabbing his balls......this isn't 'Third Man's' go, surely.

Not so much an accusation as fact.

Clear as day on the footage from the extra camera angle.

But yes, yes...its NSW that play like grubs

Agree with all of this. That tackle should have been a send off regardless of whether Gallen was injured or not. It is the potential for injury that the game needs to eliminate and the punishment should reflect that, not just a reaction to the damage done.

It wasn't insanely reckless like that old O'Donnell tackle. but for Gallen to be dropped directly on the point of his head like that a 3 week suspension is a disgrace. You get close to that for a friendly pat on a referee's back this season

Yep - laughable that he got two weeks for that - they've learned nothing from the McKinnon incident

It's amazing the level of fear Sam thiaday generates in nsw.

Who's talking about fearing him? He dumped a bloke on the point of his head. It should have been at least a month.

If it were a no name in a club match they'd be looking at 8 weeks.
