what player in their right mind would farkin sign with the eels right now? the place is toxic at the mo. only an armchair supporter will demand he stick by what he says. for a pro athlete, it's his job. it's like the average blow having a choice between a basket case of a company or a more stable work environment to earn your coin.

seriously, everything he has said about going back to Parra is farkin null and void, and any cheap remarks re loyalty are just pot shots. if it wasn't parra, he's done the right thing by joining arguably a less desirable out of Sydney club.

if GC can hold their playing list together, hayne show the spark he had, and the club become competitive, this will be great signing, not just for the club but for rugby league too. GC is a cemetery for pro sport. rugby league has had several attempts at it. perhaps this will be the move to make it a success. it already is from a PR and marketing aspect. They now need to solidify by being competitive and sustainable on-field.

Pretty funny reading considering it wasn't that long ago Hayne was held up by so many around here as a paragon of virtue and loyalty against other "money hungry" players leaving their clubs or the code for better offers.

Short memories.

Let him play.

Yes there's a chance he comes back and plays well and propels the Titans further, and if he does that then good on him, but as a Warriors fan I'd be happy to see him run out this Sunday.

He signs today, he has what? 2 training sessions max? Is the guy really going to have two training sessions, and then waltz out onto the field with a team he has zero chemistry or relationship with and expect there not to be teething problems?

The thing that concerns me with the Titans is how well they're playing as a unit. More than happy to risk a bit of individual Hayne magic in exchange for disrupting the shit out of that.

Not sure he can learn the Titans playbook by the weekend.

Eels are a pack of cheats almost on par with the purple maggots. They do not deserve Hayne's charity and the NRL should not have allowed it anyway. Hayne signing for Parra for 800k would have been cheating the salary cap all over again.

Have to laugh

Anytime a club makes a big signing everyone screams "salary cap, salary cap". Sure Titans signed Peats Hurrell and Hayne but their roster would have been miles under the cap at the start of the year.

Remember DCE backflipped and don't tell me you think they splashed DCE's money on Taylor or Tyrone Roberts

Not to mention James Roberts moving on.

Now to Hayne, great signing for them and if he fits in this years cap I see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to play.

1.Hayne
6.Elgey
7.Taylor
9. Peats

Some spine next year

A team controlled by the NRL and you don't see anything wrong with that God King...

Every team has the same cap to spend and if the Titans have cap room to move for this season and they are signing a player outside of the NRL why shouldn't they be allowed to play him?

Seems only fair they use up their cap like everyone else has

Yeah. Just look at the leg ups theyre giving Newcastle!

Seriously though this is just great. A far more thorough punishment than anything the NRL could have whacked on them for cheating. Well deserved.
