Most exciting match of mid-February is going to be the Wigan vs Hull FC Super League match in Wollongong.

Most exciting match of mid-late February is going to be Wigan vs South Sydney, with Hull FC vs St George-Illawarra a close second.

I can't wait to see some top class rugby league in Australia. First chance for Aussies to see ace French full back Morgan Escare for WIgan. The mighty Wigan are expected to cream the clock of Greg Inglis's South Sydney.
I'll put it on my action do list lol

Morgan Escare has the potential to be the next Joe Burgess!

Joe Burgess did well once he moved to South Sydney. In fact Souths wanted him to stay, but Wigan made a better offer. However Morgan Escare is a far more talented and instinctive rugby league player than Joe Burgess.

This weekend is the first round of Super League.

Leeds had a narrow but deserved 16-12 win over a revitalised Steve Price coached Warrington on Thursday night.

Hull FC had a massive win over Huddersfield on Thursday night and Wigan thrashed Salford on Friday night.

So all three clubs will come to Australia on the back of first round wins. This augurs well for the round 2 Super League clash between Wigan and Hull FC in Wollongong next weekend, and the international games the following weekend.

Who started at fullback for Wigan? Oh it was Sam Tomkins

But Morgan Escare came on after half time and immediately scored a try.

Coach Shaun Wane specifically praised Morgan Escare in his post match comments. Obviously he is still experimenting with the Escare - Tomkins roles.

But as it stands now, Escare is Tomkins backup.

No, Escare is not Tomkins backup. The coach is alternating them at full back. When Escare comes on Tomkins moves to the halves.

As I said, the coach Shaun Wane is still experimenting (he talks repeatedly of the joy of having options).. He wants Tomkins in the team but wants to be sure that Tomkins is doing well in the halves before he gives Escare the full back spot on his own for the whole game.

You keep telling yourself that. But the facts are that while Tomkins is at fullback, Escare is the number 2 option

Are any of these games on FTA at all?

Channel 9 have nothing listed for any of their channels on that day at this time. Need to check their online programme guides closer to the date.

Channel 7 will be televising the Winter Olympics, so it won't be them. 7mate are televising a WAFL match, and they have some repeats showing on their other channel.

Channel 10 have a "to be advised" at 8.30 pm on that day. One are televising an A-League match, whilst Channel 11 have a TBA at 8.30 pm also on that day.

None of the ABC's channels are televising rugby league on that day.

In terms of pay TV, Foxtel are televising both matches on Fox League (Channel 502) from 5.30 pm (AEDT) onwards.

Question, why is Albert so obsessed with French rugby league players? They just generally surrender like cheese eating monkeys.

Wigan vs Hull FC is going to start in a matter of hours. Everyone who truly loves the game should get to WIN Stadium on Saturday night
