Oh I hope Chapeeli comentates in this proposed format so as to discuss the higly important virtues of the #3 batsman.
be even better if you and he held a public debate on the relative merits of #3 and #8

Bring back Cricket Maxx!

I like it.
Actually just read it, dont like it.
I would have liked it if it got rid of overs all together. 100 balls. Anyone can bowl any ball. But I guess they change ends every 10 balls or what ever. I like the idea of 1 bowler bowling all 100 balls or every ball being bowled by a different bowler.

That would at least be an interesting twist.

Well given the last specialist batsman I am aware of picked to play #3 and #8 was Ricardo Powell, depending on whether Mahmudullah is viewed as an allrounder or not, I am not sure there is much to debate. Although WI allrounder in WT20 2016 barely bowled at all and often batted or was listed to bat at 8 after Bravo, Ramdin and Dre Russ in a captaincy role. Pollard missed the tournament.

I guess this is meant to be funny cos you said #8 to me. I guess I could be just as funny back and say Chapelli and I could have this debate after you talk about Bonobo apes. But to me that just isn't funny.

That’d slow the game down, doesn’t work well for the TV spectacle they’ve made of T20 cricket.

dumbest piece of innovation ive read in my life

the bloke or blokes pushing for this should be pulled over the boundary for 6 (using their head as the ball)

I think we need a version of indoor cricket played outdoors in a rectangular stadium. Most countries in the world don't have ovals (Brazil for example) they have soccer fields which are perfect for outdoor indoor cricket.
