Jets were very high on Mayfield reportedly, so probably not.

Plus, if the Browns take Barkley at 1 then who knows what happens with the Giants at 2.

Ward though..........

I reckon the Jets assumed the Browns would take Darnold.

I love Mayfield, but its a tough ask to go into Cleveland and win.

Darnold lands in a really good spot - probably sits a year and learns from a pro, then takes over a team on the rise.

Bucs a big winner here, probably still get a day 1 starter at 12, and get depth in the second round. Allen or Rosen may well have been there at 12 for the Bills.
