Good decision by recruitment not to keep duges.
But I for one will not knock him as he gave his all most of the time for us.
Don't forget he had to carry our team for years.
If he had been used better by the coach he may have had less injuries.
He now the sharks problem.
But I still remember him putting in week after week for us

Just because a player leaves our club we should understand that it's a business decision. Anyone here would switch jobs for more money.
Dougan gave his all for us and I wish him all the best. Injuries are part and parcel of the game. Hope he recovers
And it's not like he actually wanted to leave...

Duges. He wanted a million, millward said no chance (offered 700K as a centre) Duges got upset and felt he was worth much more. In the end he wasnt, he signed for sharks for similar coin. Then he sulks and misses the bus. Lets all his teammates down and cops a suspension from within the club.
When he goes to Sharks he says how flanno and the sharks treat him like the elite player he is (backhander at dragons).
Anyway, now he is at the sharks. He is in and out of the team with injuries and his form has been average.

Some players when they leave I wish them well and genuinely hope they do great things at their new clubs.
Joel Thompson is a good example.
Even Benji left the club thanking them and all the fans for the opportunity.

Josh Dugan. I hope he has no success at his new club and I hope he regrets leaving the Dragons.

Yep agree on a few points.

I'm not convinced Dufty is an improvement. Can safely say Duges would have saved at least half a dozen tries Duff let in.

Agree defensively duges is miles a head.
I think that dufty will continue to impove.
He needs to read the defence must better.
But as you say dufty has a long way to go.

Assuming that Duggan was injured the same playing at the Dragons instead of the Shonkies Dufty would have been fullback anyway and we saved all that money.

St George Illawarra winger Nene Macdonald suffered a foot sprain midway through the first half of the Dragons' loss to the Wests Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

The severity of the injury is yet to be determined.

Macdonald remains in a moonboot, with the best course of action to be determined as the injury settles over the coming days.

The Dragons will provide further updates on Macdonald's injury as it comes to hand.

Dragons hopeful of quick NRL recovery for Nene Macdonald
Local Sport
St George Illawarra officials remain optimistic winger Nene Macdonald will only miss two to three weeks after suffering a foot injury in Sunday’s shock loss to Wests Tigers at Kogarah.

Macdonald was in a recovery moon boot on Monday, with the Dragons waiting for swelling to subside before undergoing scans to determine the extend of his injury.

Fans feared a long-term injury when Macdonald was quick to pull his boot off on the sideline, after limping off 10 minutes before half-time, with utility Kurt Mann taking over on the wing in the 20-16 loss to the Tigers, which saw the Dragons dip to third on the NRL ladder.

“Nene Macdonald suffered a foot sprain … the severity of the injury is yet to be determined,” a Dragons statement said.

“Macdonald remains in a moon boot, with the best course of action to be determined as the injury settles over the coming days.”

Macdonald has scored nine tries this season, one fewer than club leaders Matt Dufty and Euan Aitken, while captain Gareth Widdop is the competition’s leading pointscorer with 178.

The Dragons have lost their past two games to concede top spot on the NRL ladder, including a 52-30 defeat to the Storm without their State of Origin representatives.

They face a trick three weeks ahead, with a trip to Townsville to play the battling Cowboys on Saturday night, then showdowns with potential finals rivals the Roosters and Warriors. The Dragons have not won in North Queensland since 2005, though remarkably it only means four consecutive losses in 13 years.

Dragons’ Origin prop Paul Vaughan – who won the series alongside Tyson Frizell, Jack de Belin and Tariq Sims for NSW against club teammate Ben Hunt and Queensland – is expected to be fit for Cowboys game.

“[Vaughan's] just got a cork so he's OK,” McGregor said after the Tigers loss.

“Losing Nene at that time of the game was a pretty big loss, he's a big body at the back of the field.

“It reshuffled our line a fair bit. I'm not sure [what's wrong] he'll go for a scan and it could be a week or a month or the season depending on how serious it is, whether it needs an operation or just needs a rest.”

St George Illawarra Head of Athletic Performance Nathan Pickworth has provided the following injury update on Dragons front-rower Paul Vaughan.

Vaughan was folded over awkwardly on his right leg in a three-man tackle in the early stages of the Dragons' 18-12 loss to the New Zealand Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

While there has been plenty of conjecture regarding Vaughan's injury, Pickworth confirmed on Tuesday afternoon what lies ahead for the New South Wales Origin representative

"Paul Vaughan suffered a syndemosis injury against the Warriors," Pickworth said.

"The scans and follow up consolations with specialists has given us an estimated return to play around the four-week mark."

Be sure to keep an eye out for any further injury updates later this week in the SMAI High Performance Update.
