Our Teams Character ( Especially Ben Hunt )

I would never bag any of our players, well maybe one from days gone past.
Just look where we are on the table and ask ourselves how come this year. Simple, Hunt and Graham.
That's the only difference and there is no disrespect to any of the other players in the team.
The forwards are better this year and the backs are amongst the best in the league.
A player, any player can have a bad game, but it is a team game.

Not just Hunt and Graham. The whole squad is about team first. It’s a luxury not having a whole bunch of self absorbed dickheads in your team. Look at Manly and Parra and how badly they are going even if they have a decent squad. Ask yourself why? Who are the leaders in those squads? DCE? Hayne, Norman and Moses? Says it all really.

It’s why Mary said he couldn’t talk most out of not playing this week. Don’t think that was actually the case but he wanted to show the unity in the squad which is great.

We got rid of our last head case in Duges. Now we have the right guys, we can get down to business and win a comp.

Ben Hunt must have a 16 inch dick and balls each the size of a Nissan Micra. How he able to take the field after this week let alone keep trying is beyond me.

How good is it to not have Dugan in our squad anymore?

And I was such a good looking bloke in those days , how time flies .
But Parramatta had some wonderful players in those years , Ron Lynch , Ken's brother Dick , the young fella by the surname of Campell , among anew who all represented Australia .

Yes that could very well be him jak . Only a young fella who just came onto the scene , 2nd rower or lock was the position . They all ways put everything into their matches in those years , but were still more then capable of pulling of some upsets .

The success or non-success of Hunt's kick also depended on Aitken getting to the ball in time.

Let's not forget that.
It was that moment that will wipe any memories of his SOO game & should have him playing with more urgency from the get go.

Once upon a time Saints expected greatness.
Great performances, great efforts, great skills and great resilience.

This led to many premierships, kangaroo teams full of Saints players, Saints players coaching and captaining Australia, and our very own Immortals.

Then along came Illawarra and some of you guys bringing a new found mediocrity which has made us "just another team"

Happy to come 8th, defending shit performances from our half, and defending a 50% winning record coach.

Thanks for nothing!

Go back to Figtree, Gerringong, Albion Park rail or other Illawarra shanty towns.

Joey asked Ben in the post match interview “What was going through your head when you kicked it?” and Ben’s just laughed and gone “get it Euey”
