Back in the 1970s, we had two first graders that taught at my high school in the southern suburbs of Sydney.

Jimmy Lisle - 5/8 for the Rabbits.

Rick Bourke - fullback for the Sharks.

There must be more. Feel free to add.

Steve Gearin. Taught me how to swim(and a good bloke).
Mick Lewis(not a player but referee)was our sports coordinator & one angry red head.

Father John Cootes taught me French (the language) at St Peter Pheils, Newcastle
He was asked to leave when he got up a club act and his signature song was "Help Me Make it Through the Night"

John Higgins who played a handful of games for Easts taught at Marist Brothers Pagewood when I was there. Although not league my teacher in year 11 and year 12 played first grade union for Manly, his name was Peter Lumsdaine.

I had Mark Schulmanns wife in 2nd class, then Ray Price's brother in 3rd class.
