Like to see, London, Toulouse, Salford, Toronto.(won't happen though)

I'd swap Salford for Leeds, but this would be the best outcome in terms of marketability for Super League. They definitely need Toronto and Toulouse, but opening up the southern market via the London Broncos wouldn't hurt either.

They are the Middle 8s fixtures not the Super 8s.

London get a drop goal in final minute to win 21 - 20 over Widnes.

What a huge result. Widnes could be gone?

What a Finnish!!!

Jarrod Sammut's drop goal earned second-tier London Broncos a Qualifiers victory against struggling Widnes, who have now lost 17 games in a row.

Sammut, who missed two from four goal kicks, nailed the one-pointer with the score at 20-20 in the final minute.

The Super League hosts led 6-0 at half-time and then extended their lead to 14-4 after London hit back.

Three scores without reply put the Broncos in front, before Krisnan Inu's try for the Vikings set up the finale.

However, the mercurial Sammut was on target for London with his drop goal after Joe Mellor had earlier missed to secure victory.

There was further disappointment for Widnes late on as new signing Charlie Gubb seemed to pick up a knee injury and had to crawl off the field.

Wow, with Widnes dropping a game to London they are almost certainly gone, but it throws up a lot of possibilities for the million pound game.

Yeah, 4 will probably get you into the MPG and 3 might. With Widnes dropping a home game to a championship team and having to travel to France and Canada, cant see them even making 3 wins.

I understand all the complaints and negatives of these middle 8 games and that it is probably not the best set up for the game. But as a casual, overseas follower of the ESL these are the most exciting games of the season and the MPG is probably the one game that I will make an extra effort to watch.

Haha looks like Les Cats have already booked their holidays.

Still some life in Salford. These Middle 8s are looking to be the best ever. Trust Rugby League to just scrap it at a time when it finds its legs.

I think it is more cats are probably only focusing on the CC as it is really their only chance to win anything.

Salford getting a win against the KR puts a real dent in the hopes of expansionists like me that was hoping for Toronto and Toulouse finding a way to both go up.
