The Dragons took everything out of Souths last week , their forwards just could not do any damage , they looked completely drained of energy. Cook threw some bluudy shocking passes that really let the Roosters of the hook .On a side note it was most sad to see Inglis get injured in the last tackle of the game .

Souffs dished up more tripe tonight when roosters were there for the taking and just holding on. If only we had Widdop and Vaughan last week.
We would of had a good shot at them tonight but it wasn't to be.

Mentioned that in JA.

They got us without Widdop and Vaughan, and the Roosters without Napa and Mitchell (and an injured Cronk).

They were in poor form, they had lost 4 of 5 coming into our game.

Effectively they were suffering a slump like we did, but just at the complete wrong time of year.

Roosters were there for the taking last night.

Will Reynolds be smashed by the media for his game plan? The Rabbits kept going to the left and got same result = zero. Twice in quick succession they got a penalty right in front of the posts and did not take the 2 . Rabbits would have been just 2 behind at that stage. Yet he tried to go for penalty 50 metres out with 1 minute to go.

I thought this last night, and sure enough Reynolds didn’t get slammed at all. If Hunt was Reynolds last night he’d be the sole reason for the loss by the media, even here on the forum.

And going by the prelim finals I’m more annoyed. This comp was there for the taking if a few players were given a rest as a way to freshen up the squad.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda, didn’t....

In fairness, sometimes injuries just happen. Plenty.of key injuries that have affected the top teams.

Wade Graham, Gallen, now Cronk. Widdop was our biggest loss and that was just bad luck.

We could have covered the loss of Vaughan, but Widdop was just a step too far. I’m guessing losing Cronk will do the same for the Roosters.

Injuries aside you had Dufty admitting he was physically spent, Friz & JDB well & truly cooked which could have been avoided or at least managed better with a bit of foresight.
And it probably helps the mental side knowing your teammates are fit & ready.
Hopefully it’s a lesson learned for 2019.
