Should South East Qld set up a revived Carlton Cup like comp from the 70's ?

In the early 1970's after the three team Bulimba Cup was wound up a replacement competition was commenced. Brisbane were out and Wide Bay came in with the comp expanded to four teams with the inclusion of the Gold Coast in 1975.

Unfortunately there is no Toowoomba presence in the top tier of QRL, but I would love to see a comp like the Foley Shield in NQ ( see link below) be introduced for the teams from Ipswich, Burleigh / Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

Similar format with the three clubs / regions paying each other for Cup points in ISC and U/20's and U/18's plus the local rep teams.

If Toowoomba comes in to the ISC at some stage - make it a four way comp. Or if not planned in the next few years invite Central Qld Capras / Rockhampton ( or a Rockhampton - Gladstone combined team).

Would have to ensure all clubs / regions do play each other the same amount of times.

Put some rivalry back into country rugby league with a decent winners cheque at stake.
