Gigot is a world class full back who is being unfairly squeezed out of Catalans.

If the NQ Cowboys are able to afford his salary (He's a French representative) I believe he will do very well in the NRL.
Isn't it co-incidental that you also have an interest in all things French. Too.
Or did you forget which alt account was logged in ?

Everyone loves French rugby league.

Except the French.

You may want to mock Stepho and Albert, but the French used to be very much into rugby league, especially up until the start of World War 2. It changed when the Germans conquered France in WWII. During the occupation, the Vichy Government (which covered the south of France, where rugby league was strongest and most populous) with support from the French Rugby Union outlawed rugby league. All the French rugby league's grounds and equipment were handed over gratis to Union, and players either had to play Union or stop playing.

Cool story bro.
Do All Roosters fans have an in depth knowledge of the ins and outs of French rugby league, or is it just the suite of Alberts ?
Dear God . . . . You're not ANOTHER one ???!!!!!!

I know what happened as a friend who lived in the UK gave me a book which detailed what happened.

Also if you think I'm Albert or "one of his" you have rocks in your head.

If it hasn't been said already, the Cowboys are being linked to Jordan Kahu.

I really used to rate Paul Green and Peter Parr as two of the better operators in the business.

These days, some of their decisions are highly questionable (and that is me putting it diplomatically).

Both their legacies are secured in North Queensland regardless of the future. I am just losing faith in their abilities moving forward, and that goes well beyond Ponga.

The cowboys seem real intent on being the little QLD brother again

I am unhappy with a lot of recent decision the club is making. But I continue to tell fellow Cowboys fans (who think I am some traitor or ungrateful) that both Green and Parr's legacies are secured forever up there for the many great things that they have done.

I just think they are losing their way a bit, and that the days of their magic are over. Either the game is changing on them rapidly, or they lacked long-term planning and are now left to fill in the roster with whoever is out there.

Having said that, I do feel some empathy to them if they had planned well for Valentine Holmes. I still think he joins the Cowboys anyway, but not until 2020 or 2021.

Could you elaborate on what these "lot of recent decisions the club is making" are?

On the Kahu signing; i'm all for it. Two weeks ago we had been training/preparing with a full squad and a former Dally M winning specialist fullback on our books. Fast-forward to today, we've sacked said player (a decision im extremely proud my club made so quickly, btw) a few weeks before the start of the new season which leaves us with a couple of backup options for an important spine position, Hampton and TMM.

I hope more than anything that Hampton makes the most of his chance and owns the FB spot from round 1, but things don't always go to script so you have to have options incase plan A falls to shit. Kahu is an experienced centre/winger/fullback option and a handy goalkicker as well. He'd be coming very cheaply on a 1 year deal while the club keeps an eye on what Holmes is doing for next year. It's win win.

Agree with most of that. Can't see much value in Kahu. What other calls do you doubt?
