A last-gasp try to Steven Marsters in the 78th minute has helped the St George Illawarra Dragons secure a thrilling 28-all draw against Mounties at Aubrey Keech Reserve on Friday.

The Mounties lead for a majority of the contest as they soared to a 28-18 lead at the break after a quick-fire double from Hudson Young late in the first-half.

But a try from Dragons fullback Tristan Sailor in the 68th minute set up an enthralling finish with Marsters effort in the dying stages enough to share the competition points.

More to come

Those who watched the game would know more. Sounds like we take the 1 point and run.
Surprised we were outmuscled in the forwards.
One guy I have my eye on is Blacker. As a still a young player like to know how he went?
More for curiosity sake how did Charly Runciman go.?
Obviously these 2 not mentioned as better players in posts above but just would like to know how their individual performances went.

Timm played
Kerr travelled to n qld as back up.
Runciman was average only noticed him when he had the ball .
Sailor looked ok.
Blacker was good off the bench.
Nicholls hurt his arm/shoulder didn't play 2nd half .
Lead18/6 Robson was good early but after that he wasn't that good .

Did Saab, Kerr and Timm play and if so, how did they go?

Saab didn't play, I believe he has a slight shoulder problem, may see him in JF next week.
Kerr didn't play he travelled with the NRL squad to Townsville (most probably wont play unless there is an injury in the pre-game warm up)
Timm, played and was solid.

Jimmy He was 18th man for nrl .
He was in Townsville.
Correct Samy they always have to accommodate a contingency for a back and forward especially away. They normally only talk about 18 men in a warm up but their 19th man at home is somewhere nearby in need more often than not.

Very surprised we salvaged a draw from this game, given the amount of missed tackles, a staggering 49, and add to that 15 ineffective tackles. In contract Mounties had 25 missed tackles and 24 ineffective tackles.
