Norman is overrated.

Sorry guys but I think we brought a lemon.
Norman only played well at Parra last year on a few occasions.
At the Dragons he doesn’t look like he wants be the play maker or even a organiser.
His bomb kicks are not high enough for the runners to challenge the catcher.
He just doesn’t add anything to the team.
He catches a intercept pass but look like he was running on a treadmill.
To me he looks like he just going through the motions and just watching hunt and Widdop do all the planing.
I was excited when he signed with us, but now after watching his three games, I think we brought a lemon.

Widdop back to 5/8. Too many mistakes at FB
Dufty at FB. Made difference to our attack when he came on.
Norman to the bench or the reserve grade.

The only thing consist about Norman is his inconsistency.

The skill level between him and Widdop at five-eighth is immense.

Yes, we’ve got a lemon, but don’t worry Millward is doing a fantastic job.

Widdop is the issue at the moment, he looks tentative which led to 2 bad errors.
Dufty should had been on a lot earlier

After the performances so far this year, l think we have much to bitch about.

• Stuffing up the spine for one under performing player.
• Coach has learnt nothing.

I agree with your post but have to say that the loss was mainly due to poor preparation and poor planning. I'm sure Norman would have performed much better if the necessary protections and structures were put in place.

If Norman continues to struggle, I have no problems with him being substituted with Field or a fit Widdop. At this stage I think Widdop should be rested until he fully recovers from his injuries. In addition a hooker rotation of Robson and McInnes.

This and Leilua. One of the reasons but I'll give my opinion in another thread of the coaching of this game.
In regards to Norman it was a crap night to judge anyone in attack due to the wet..especially Norman in a new side. Not the reason we lost. Error ridden game. Cowboys were nothing special in attack either except JT and Morgan's kicking game

We tried to get Hayne, but ended up with Norman when no other club wanted either! Has anything good ever come out of the Eels, except spoons & scandals? It's a cheap panic purchase to mask our Captain wanting out.

Really pissed off about Norman coming to St George. Was never keen about it.
Now we will probably lose Field because of it.
Our spine was great last year, now it’s turned for the worst.
I do fear for this season. All because Norman was signed.
I never liked his attitude.
Always thought he was overrated.
