Full Round 3 Results.

23.03. Northern Pride 4 Townsville Blackhawks 20
23.03. Ipswich Jets 20 Easts Tigers 22
23.03. Mackay Cutters 42 Central Capras 20

24.03. Wynnum Manly Seagulls 18 Redcliffe Dolphins 10
24.03. Burleigh Bears 32 Tweed Heads Seagulls 4
24.03. Souths Logan Magpies 16 Norths Devils 42
24.03. PNG Hunters 26 Sunshine Coast Falcons 28

Redcliffe, PNG and Ipswich still without a win in 2019.
It would appear that the changes to the team worked ME in terms of a better performance and scoring points. Anybody standout for the hunters??

Joe Joshua who was moved from Fullback to left center scored a hatrick.
Unfortunately he has been dropped this week because he missed the recovery session yesterday morning.

The new 20 year old Five-Eight had a great game too. Had a hand in a couple of tries and scored one himself.

This week he will partner the returning Ase Boas in the halfs so he should get even better.

Another loss for the hunters. Hopefully their 1st win of the season is just around the corner.

Looks like too many departures is going to hurt the hunters in the short-term.

Absolute ripper of a game at Kougari Oval, top quality between the top two teams. It was 10-all close to half time which was a good reflection of the match. Sunshine Coast managed opportunist tries against the run of play both sides of the break and this proved the difference in the end.

Wynnum trailed 10-30 during the second half but continued to give it their all and scored two tries in the last ten minutes for a final score of 30-20 to Sunshine Coast.

The Falcons are obviously a quality team but Wynnum certainly tested them. With their top forwards Max Elliott and Matiu Love-Henry missing and possibly Patrick Carrigan to return at some stage, Gulls fans will be giving them a chance should they meet in the finals series.

Sunshine Coast were definitely the better team, although Wynnum started and finished well. That 100m try to Hynes just before halftime was a killer for the Gulls.

Man of the match - Falcons' hooker Harry Grant.

Sam Scarlett wasn't far behind him in a losing team. His defence against the big men was outstanding.

Redcliffe ended the Falcons’ unbeaten run last night which I hope will kickstart our stuttering season to date. First time the Dolphins have won back-to- back games this season.

To be honest though, the only reason why the Dolphins are still in contention for the finals because there’s a top 8 this year instead of 6.

Yes, it's a bit ordinary when a team that's 6 from 15 is in the top eight.

Rewarding mediocrity.

I was at Davies and had the unfamiliar sensation of experiencing a win there. By gum its been a while.

Im so motivated by that considering going down to see them against Burleigh this weekend.

Souths have a good team on paper, 2019 is one they will want to forget though.

Any particular reason for the Split round this week? Was looking for an excuse to escape the family on saturday but the Easts vs Wynnum game is next week.

I was telling people Wynnum were playing Easts this week only to realise yesterday that it is the following week.

All I can think is that this is part of mirroring the NRL a week ahead. With the same final eight system in place this year (ridiculous), the Qld Cup started a week before the NRL and have their GF a week before the NRL one.

If the NRL has one bye round and one split round, the Qld Cup needs to as well to keep in sync.
