I'd rather they use the 9s format as a way of growing the international game.

With the way the Pacific Islands, USA etc have used the Sevens format to boost the 15 man game in their country, it seems like 9s would be the perfect way to grow the game in those places, along with Western Europe, Canada, Jamaica, Asia etc

Love the 9’s but it really is a risk for injuries. It was my favourite off season event for the past couple of years. Although it is mainly a game for backs I thought it was a great game to see the up and coming talent in the NRL.

I would like to see the nines used as an expansion tool with 'state' teams from the host city featuring a couple of guest players competing in the tournament.

So Burns is expected to miss about a month. This is actually a lot better news then I was expecting and I think we can cop that, especially because GI will be back either this week or next week.

Inglis is miles off the pace and will take weeks or even months to get right. He said himself before the season started that any game in the next 2 years could be his last so not even guaranteed he will play again
