On Foxsports, They have our predicted team for this week up. It has Rava dropped. Dufty fullback, Lomax wing and Robson on the bench. It doesn't have Frizell there.

Fizz still 2 week away.
But will tell you more tomorrow.
Also Kerr has a fitness test as well.
Tomorrow

Jayden Okunbor - 22 years old, 108Kg, 196cm. I have watched him play a few times and I thought his games were of mixed quality. He scored 8 tries from 25 appearances for the Canterbury ISP side last year. Ran for 214 metres on the weekend. Hope he does well - just not against us.

Watched a few of his nsw cup games , he wasnt that good or quick.
He thinks he is Jamal idris.
Ordinary.

Waterboy will not offend his senior players by sacking them & risking chatter in the sheds.

His loyalty program would fall apart.

Remember the camera panning to a sulking & sidelined Aitken in the Bronco semi?
His reinstatement over Lomax to the #3 was a callous indication of the sabotage being inflicted on Zac

Pay sacked 5 & got immediate results. McGuire sends Reynolds to CC.
It’s called selection integrity for the team’s balance & future

Lomax won’t even make the bench manana - he’s too much of a threat to the Chosen Ones, who are having to play now for their positions every game as the pressure ramps up.

The chaff will settle eventually, & history will view this period with a wry smile

Opportunity lost will be etched into the SGI history books. Providing our best and brightest young juniors the opportunity to develop and breath renewal in our squad is the best and most economical way to raise our team up the competition ladder.

I am not talking about players that clearly need time in CC to develop. I am talking about players like Lomax and Robson who are clearly ready for first grade. Decisions made now concerning these special players, could have a significant impact on our squad over the next 5 years.

The traits and skills of our leading juniors should be well known to our pathways staff and Club coaching staff. It is then up to the head coach to organise/facilitate the progression of these players; especially those players who have succeed and arrive in our top 30 squad as high achievers.

We can discuss the pros and cons and this always makes for good reading and entertainment on the forum however, the coaching staff's decisions in the final stages of player development is no joke and should be treated very seriously.

Correct
Lafai will be kicker
Norman back up.
Also lomax on the bench

All of this effort so that Aitken can keep is position at right centre. Aitken who can't defend well, who can't pass well, who can't set up his outside winger.

Now tell me, if Lomax is not selected and Aitken leaks a try or two that costs us the game, who will take responsibility and be held accountable. If Lafai misses goals and those points are the difference between losing or winning who will take responsibility and be held accountable.

Aitken has been impressive.

Bring back Nighty!!!

Seriously though - and to try to answer OKB’s question re gaining favour with Waterboy, I think the imposter has a subliminal missionary zeal that seeks to redeem, recuperate, recover, regenerate & rebuild the wayward, discarded & wandering ones.
Providing succour & hope for their families & offering lifelines to fringe first grade careers.
He spoke extensively about Pereira needing to look after his family, Lafai’s redemption & Latimore needing a home & being able to nurture the young players. Probably the same for Maranta, Runciman, Nichols, Allgood & Rav - you know, bits of hard luck sob stories

Suffer the little children to come unto me ...

He probably collects stray cats out the back

Waterboy’s their benefactor - the good guy

You know - family
Loyalty
Fuc* October

So the young ones can go fu*k themselves & wait their turn like he had to.

Find their own way.
Do their penance
practise denial in that very catholic way

He said last week that Field was ‘waiting’
Yeah right - they sure all know about that

He does it with us too
We’re always waiting ...

It’s all much like his own experience of being resurrected from Park footy at age 24-25
Tough times hard yards bullshit

He certainly cuts an interesting (& disturbing) psychological profile that true footy professionals like Bennett & Bellamy must laugh at
I wondered why he added "he is Very Small" when talking about the prospects of Field.
Kind of sealed his fate if you ask me.

Just watched a replay of the bronco game why don't you enlighten me which minute I need to check . .. ..

Go and watch the last 15 seconds of the first half and then again in the 5th minute of the second half to name two. How about you get your info straight before you start throwing insults.

Dragons sweat on Gareth Widdop surgery

A shoulder surgery will determine skipper Gareth Widdop's future at the Dragons
St George Illawarra will discover the full extent of skipper Gareth Widdop's shoulder dislocation after he undergoes surgery on Monday night.

It is the second time Widdop will go under the knife for his right shoulder, leading to fears that he may have played his final game in the NRL.

Widdop is in his final year with the Dragons after walking away from the final two years of his current contract to take up a three-year deal in the Super League.

The Dragons confirmed Widdop had seen a specialist on Monday, however it is unclear whether he has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

"Widdop's shoulder will be operated on later this evening," the Dragons revealed in a statement.

"The Dragons will provide further information on the status of the England international in the coming days."

Widdop dislocated the same shoulder against Parramatta in round 22 last year, but delayed surgery in an attempt to play in the finals.

However the 30-year-old lasted an hour before it was again knocked out of place in their shock qualifying final win over Brisbane.

Widdop's position in the Dragons side had come under heavy scrutiny this season following his maligned move to fullback.

His decision to sign with Warrington prompted the club to lure Corey Norman on a three-year deal, but created a playmaking headache for coach Paul McGregor.

The Dragons are now likely to recall Matt Dufty to fullback for Sunday's round-four clash with Newcastle, leaving Norman and Ben Hunt in the halves.

Knights' captain Mitchell Pearce regarded Widdop as one of the most influential players in the Dragons line-up.

"I don't understand how they approach their footy (now), but without him playing certainly may hurt you a bit," Pearce said.

"But they've got two other guys there.

"I thought Ben Hunt was really good last week (against Brisbane) and Corey Norman obviously iced the cake with the field goal."

You really are so correct .We can't allow these youngsters to make errors can we. Don't worry about all the good things he did the two mistakes he made were the kind anybody could make. Let's get rid of him .I'm sure he won't improve .gee Corey Oates and issako made mistakes maybe they will be dropped.17th minute left in second half . kick off nice take Mikael ravalawa. But hey what do I know.im glad your not picking the team .And I'm also glad I'm not picking it as well. .. ..

Already stated I can live with the errors but a solid winger that can't get off the ground is a worry. I hope he proves me wrong, did some great things too. He'll be playing against the Knights and hope he has a cracker.

If Frizell is available, he should come in for Latimore, with Lawrie dropping back to the bench. It will be interesting to see who Mary drops for Frizell.
Based on what McGregor has done in the past Latimore will be selected until injured. I used to appreciate why he was there in the team but he seems to be getting less effective as he gets older and the younger guns (Lawrie, Host) have stepped up a lot since last season.

Latimore is a solid not brilliant bench player. But to say Kerr deserves a run over him is laughable. Kerr needs to go work on his defence. Am I the only person who remembers his turnstile defence earlier in the season???
